Lily’s Personality

1. She is loyal. She is always around and there for me.
2. She let’s us dress her up in Halloween costumes.
3. She cuddles and sleeps in our bed or in our daughter’s bed.
4. She is SUPER fast and is really fun to take to a dog park to watch run/play.
5. She loves to lay in the sun for hours!

Lily’s Current Home Environment

We live in a single family home in a very dense neighborhood. Homes are close by and neighbors are regularly walking there dogs around the block. Lily has free roam of the house and typically naps in her dog bed in the living room and sleeps in one of our beds at night.

Lily’s Current Family:

We are married and have a nine year daughter. We have two college aged children as well along with two dogs (Lily and a large chocolate lab, Mason).

Lily’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

She LOVES balls. Tennis balls. Loves to jump, fetch and run after them. She doesn’t really care much about other toys per se.

She really enjoys being on the move: walks or dog park play.

Cute Lily Story:

We rescued her from a no-kill shelter when she was 1 year old. We entered the room and she immediately ran over to our then 3 year old daughter, who just giggled and squealed and laughed for minutes. We knew immediately we’d found our dog.

Why is Lily Being Rehomed?

Lily has escaped our home on a number of occasions and gone after dogs walking near our property. We have done extensive training with her to try and correct this behavior to no avail. We have been advised to rehome her to someone living in a more rural area with a very secure back yard.

Lily’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Someone with time to let her play/run (NOT CRATED ALL DAY!). A perfect situation is someone with a large property where she can lounge in the sun and play all day. The family COULD have another pet, but ideally they do not given Lily’s history of aggressive with other dogs.

Additional Comments:

Aside from this one issue, you wont find a more loving and patient dog with children. She is incredibly loyal, laid back, cuddly and eager to please.
