Meet Lucy – Pre-Loved Great Pyrenees dog For Adoption by Owner in Matthews N.C.

Lucy, a lovable great pyrenees dog for adoption in charlotte (matthews, nc)You know that feeling when you meet someone and just know they were meant to be part of your story? That’s the kind of magic Lucy brings.

This stunning 4-year-old Great Pyrenees girl is the full package—beauty, brains, and a heart so big it barely fits in her fluffy body. At 70 pounds, she’s the queen of quiet companionship, and she’s got a tail wag reserved just for her favorite humans (and maybe a squirrel or two).

Lucy, a lovable great pyrenees dog for adoption in charlotte (matthews, nc)Lucy lives for sun-soaked porch naps, gentle walks through the neighborhood, and a little game of fetch—on her terms, of course. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and gets along with other dogs like a polite Southern lady. Her only request? A calm home, no little kids, and someone who has time for her. Someone who sees her.

Right now, Lucy’s heart is a little heavy. Her person, who loves her dearly, has a career that keeps them away too often. And Lucy? She’s not a “see you in a few days” kind of girl—she’s an “every day, always by your side” kind of soul.

Lucy, a lovable great pyrenees dog for adoption in charlotte (matthews, nc)She’s not asking for much—just someone who’ll love her the way she loves: fully, loyally, and with soft eyes that say, “You’re my world.”

Lucy comes with her favorite toys, leashes, a comfy kennel, and a couple of cute sweaters. She’s ready to move in—heart first.

Lucy has never grabbed any food of of plates left on the end tables by the couch except once, I left a peanut butter jelly sandwhich and when I came back she had grabbed the sandwhich and brought it to her dog bed, she didn’t eat it but just brought it there. She hasn’t grabbed any food since. She is curious about p leaner butter and jelly 🤷🏼‍♂️

Why is Lucy Being Rehomed?

I need to rehome lucy for both time and money constraints. As a flight attendant in denver my girlfriend and I were taking care of lucy and another dog. We since split up and I moved to North Carolina to be closer to family. But with the cost of boarding I can’t afford to board lucy and fly and pay for my own place as well as scheduling conflicts and just general time away from home. It was challenging with a partner but even more challenging on my own. I have secured a boarding facility and staying with family for now until I can find her a good home.

Lucy’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Lucy would do great with a big house to roam and a big fenced yard to roam. If a dog door was available I bet she would love the ability to go in and out all day. I really just want a home she will get enough exercise and will be cared for.

If it’s possible and the new owner feels comfortable but if not I would understand.
