Lucy’s Personality
Lucy is a giant sweetheart that wants to curl up on your lap if you’ll allow her. She has some minor behaviour issues that training should greatly improve. Yes She has mild separation anxiety on certain days while we are away at work. If there is dirt outside, she will dig in it. She can be very stubborn as Pyrenees are known to be, as well as persistent jumping and pawing at people, especially if they are new. Always very sweet intentions though. Her amazing personality traits and devotion to family greatly outweigh any of her small issues.
Lucy’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
She likes stuffed animals (but only when she’s outside), she likes balls that you can stuff with treats, she loves walks and could follow her nose for hours, she loves to chew on raw bones and sticks. Belly rubs all day
Cute Lucy Story:
She gets the zoomies but she’s extremely uncoordinated. She’s very sweet, and lays on her back stretched out and smiles at you while her jowls droop, making her have a hilarious face.
Why is Lucy Being Rehomed?
We rescued her from the SPCA in October of 2024 thinking we would have time to work with her. We became pregnant sooner than we thought and with a busy toddler and a new baby coming this summer we know she deserves someone with more time and energy to give her. She would thrive on an acreage and having more space to roam. We unfortunately do not have the time and resources to set her up to be the most successful.
Lucy’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Someone who is patient, kind and willing to accept a lot of love from our girl. Someone with a big yard or the time to take her on outdoor adventures (her recall is not the best off leash when there are many sniffs/new people to meet around!) she really does love being around our toddler and being a ‘nanny’ to him.
She’s a great family dog. But she also loves everyone and is great with older folk – she just needs a reminder of how big she is.
She is good with our cats, she does try to play with them sometimes. With slow introductions she has been good with other dogs.
This is a tough decision for us since she is so loveable and such a gentle soul. But we truly know she will be happier where she gets more one on one attention and have a bigger yard/space to roam
