Hi, My name is Hunter, and I found my forever home!

Golden retriever mix for adoption in tennessee

I am a very sweet boy! Such a handsome mix; the color of a Golden Retriever with the size and shape of a Rottweiler. I am just 5, and very healthy.  I have been neutered, as well, and am up to date on my vaccinations. I am house trained and crate trained, too.

I am an active dog and really love to play with other dogs and go swimming. I get along very well with children, including babies and toddlers.  I am so affectionate and great to be around. I really add joy to life!

My owners are very sad to have to find me a new home. Unfortunately, their circumstances required that they move, and unfortunately dogs like me are not allowed where they now live.

They are dearly hoping to find me the home I need and deserve. I want to be the center of your universe. The family dog that does everything with his family. I love to go for car rides and have lots of enthusiasm for activities such as long walks, runs, swimming, hiking and more. Above all, I love to spend time with my people and lavish you with devotion.

My ideal family will own their own home, have a large, securely fenced yard for me to play in (a swimming pool would be my utopia!), and have lots of time to spend with me. I would love a dog friend, too!

If you have been looking for the best dog ever, please consider me! I can’t wait to meet you and show you what 75 pounds of unconditional love looks like!

Love and Licks,

Hunter

Personality

Hunter CRAVES affection. He is extremely smart. He is crate trained. Hunter knows how to sit, lay down, and shake with both of his paws. He loves playing with other dogs. He rides with me to work in the mornings, so he has no issues with car rides. He stays at doggie daycare until I pick him up. He plays all day long. Oh, I forgot to mention that Hunter loves to swim in pools. (They keep them out in his daycare.) Hunter has truly been a blessing, and giving him to a home that is going to truly give him the best care is all I can hope for.

Hunter is Neutered, and fully vaccinated. He is very house broken and crate trained. He sleeps in his crate every night. Hunter gets along well with babies, toddlers, and small children. He can sometimes be very protective until he can get a sense of who exactly he is around. He has never bitten anybody. I have tried to desensitize him to everything when it comes to Veterinary care. He is very well behaved when it comes to bathing, nail trims, EAG, drawing blood, and even when given vaccines. I keep him on a monthly flea, tick and heart worm prevention. Hunter has had a dental within the last year as well.

Reason For Rehoming

My family and I unfortunately are unable to keep Hunter. We just moved into our new house which doesn’t allow any pets.
