La Notte is a really sweet boy. This male grey Tabby Cat is looking for a loving home in New York City and area. He is very cuddly and laid back, but needs a quiet home with no other cats as he is FIV positive (asymptomatic). If you have room in your heart and home for a really good cat, please offer La Notte the home he needs and deserves today.

Personality

La Notte is very sweet and gentle — and, despite weighing over 10 lbs., he likes to cuddle and sleep in bed with me. He’s very clean – grooms himself thoroughly every day. He’s not a jumper or a climber (My first cat jumps onto the top of the kitchen cabinets!). He’s very laid back. I have found that tabby cats are one of the most intelligent of cats — La Notte, however, is very calm and doesn’t exhibit “robust” curiosity. He’s content to sun himself by a window and, when it’s time to go to sleep, he snuggles in bed. He tried many times to approach my first cat to show peace and never gave up trying.

Reason For Rehoming

I have tried several times to keep him in my home, but my first cat is not allowing another cat into the apt. When both cats are in the apt., the tension is sooooo palpable. Then, there is a tussle (screeching, hissing and racing around furniture) until both race through the cat door (that I fashioned for my first cat) down to the lobby. It’s been exhausting. I’ve had to place La Notte back outside several times — only, to want very badly to try again. And again… But, it’s been to no avail. Truthfully, it’s my first cat’s fault — He’s unwilling to share the space (even though HE was found, last year, on the street in front of my apt. bldg. (abandoned at 6 weeks of age), as well. Makes no sense….
