5 Amazing Things About Louis:
He’s a good listener: when you ask him to do something, sit, stay, outside, crate, shake, out please (like out of the kitchen please) he does it for the most part.
Routine: He always wants to have you say I love you with a pet and kiss every morning or he won’t eat or do much. He’s a routine guy and does well in it.
Trust: when he trusts you he is yours. He will be with you and stay by you every part of the day. If he has to do tough things, be in anxious areas or go to the Vet, as long as you’re there he’s good.
Walking and running: we try to take him on walks after dinner and he loves to walk. Sometimes to fast cause he really wants to run. I purchased a running leash and started taking him on my runs Sundays starting him at a mile and eventually making him stop once he reached 4 miles. He still wants to run but will wear himself out.
He plays with our cat: at first I was worried he was chasing the cat but when I kept watching them the cat was the one starting the play. Our cat would walk by him and start running down the hallway and then plop on the ground showing his belly to Louis once Louis caught up to him. Then they just gently paw at each other and chase each other around the house. As long as nothing small is in the way, like a small table, we let them play.
Louis’ owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished dog, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do.

He also gets car sick. He can go about 20 minutes in a car without throwing up but will drool profusely. If given meds he usually will drool but can still throw up if he had food within the last 6-8 hours.

Louis Personality
He is loving and careful. We adopted him around 2-3 months old and has always coward if you raised your voice. If you speak to him calmly or with a normal tone of voice he won’t cower or run to his crate(safe place). He’s a good listener and has good manners unless my son is feeding him at the diner table, he will try to grab scraps.
He has his routine of waking up around 6am going outside to pee. He eats his meal at 6am ish and usually grazes on it throughout the day. He loves to sun bath outside and roll in the grass. He will also bark at you to say I need to use the bathroom. He loves to lay at your feet when your home hanging out and if it’s 9pm and you can’t find him he’s almost always asleep in his crate.
He loves his afternoon nap and when he’s tired he puts himself to bed and rarely will get up if you call him unless you have a treat. He’s really a great pup for adult families. When he stays with my parents (70’s), they always say how good he is and loving.
Louis Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
This guy loves carrots and ice cubes. When you are chopping in the kitchen he will walk by hoping some veggies get dropped so he can try them.
He love to play fetch with his ball and will chase bubbles jumping in the air to pop them.
He loves to go on walks and run with you.
Cute Louis Story:
Louis hates riding in the car, has since we brought him home. He gets scared,anxious, nauseous and usually throws up. So if we take him somewhere it better be worth it. Ha. He will make the hour long ride to go to our families ranch. He loves it there, he loves to play and hang out with the cows. So much so the momma cow has to stop him from playing with her calf. It doesn’t phase him how much bigger they are he just wants to play. They trust him now but it was a bit nerve racking in the beginning.
Why is Louis Being Rehomed?
We are a family of 4, two kids and have been more and more on the go with activities and work. We also have to travel to Houston and our family ranch multiple times a month, which makes Louis car sick. He’s such an awesome pup and deserves to be with someone who will be able to hang out with him and not travel much. We just have had less time to be with him with him in a comfortable environment . If he wasn’t so car sick I would take him everywhere with me but even with medication he will still throw up.
Louis Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Adult family that’s doesn’t travel often. If someone lived on a ranch or large acre that would be perfect but he does well at our home with our smaller backyard.
