Cute Kojak Story:
The little one year old wanted to hold the leash when out for a walk. Kojak was so gentle and sweet. He clearly new that the little boy was walking him and responded by being very cautious, taking slower steps and looking over at the boy with each step. It was really cute and showed what a gentle, sweet soul he has.
The owner has a brother with Downs syndrome. Kojak is very caring with him. He interacts very well and seems to understand that certain humans need extra understanding and love.
Why is Kojak Being Rehomed?
Because Kojak can be rough when he plays, the situation is not good for the little boy in the home who is just barely starting to walk. The owners are very sad to have to rehome Kojak, but do not have a choice between keeping Kojak and their son’s safety.
Kojak’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Looking for a family with children older than 10 and who have lots of time to spend with him. Having a back yard would be a plus, but is not essential. He tends to be an indoor dog. He loves to laze around.
Additional Comments:
For the first few weeks, we would love to hear how he is doing, but other than that, we will trust that our rehoming service and the new owners will make sure all is well.
