Meet Dolly – Longhair Russian Blue Mix Cat For Adoption in Snellville, GA

Have you been looking for a very special cat for adoption in Snellville and area? This Russian Blue mix cat will certainly fit the bill. Dolly is absolutely amazing. She is drop-dead gorgeous, with a long, silky gray-blue coat and an extra fluffy, long tail that reminds you of a feather boa.

But looks are not all! This 4 year old, 8 pound female cat has to offer – she’s “all that” in the personality department as well. Dolly is so sweet and cuddly once she gets to know you. She will curl up beside you and purr her little heart out. She thrives on human companionship, and is very engaging, playful and sweet. Dolly has had all of her vet stuff done. She is fixed, up to date on shots, micro-chipped and litter-trained.

Dolly’s owner loves her very much, and that is why she is rehoming her. Dolly’s home is no longer a place in which she feels safe and happy. There are 2 other cats, a dog and 2 children in the home, and Dolly has become so anxious that she has started to have blood in her urine.

The vet has checked her out carefully and is certain that stress is the cause. He has recommended that she be rehomed into a very quiet home with a strong daily routine so that Dolly can relax and her nervous system can calm down.

The ideal home for Dolly will be with adults who have no other pets and live a quiet life. She would be perfect for a senior looking for just one special cat to cherish. All About Dolly

Dolly’s Personality

Dolly is a sweet and loving cat. One of her favorite things to do is watch the birds through our front door. She loves to snuggle as long as she feels safe. She is scared of everything. She is very anxious but warms up after a bit. Even though she is scared easily she has always remained very gentle with our children and other pets.

Loving, gentle, sweet, very tolerant

Dolly’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Her favorite thing to do is to watch birds through our windows. She likes to chase ribbons, but otherwise does not care much for toys. She loves the temptations cat treats. She does not like canned food, but will lick the gravy off of it if/when she gets it.

Cute Dolly Story:

Dolly has been a part of our family since she was 3 weeks old. She and her siblings were abandoned in a milk crate on the steps of a church. She was covered in fleas and very unwell. She immediately fell in love with our daughter, Ella and has been her companion for the last 4 years.

Why is Dolly Being Rehomed?

We have made multiple visits to the vet over the past 2-3 years to help with her anxiety. Recently she was so stressed she began to urinate blood. I feel like our home is just too stressful for her to live a happy voice. We have children (8 & 11), 2 dogs, and another cat. We tolerated her litter box avoidance for a long time, but now her stress is literally causing her pain, so we have to do what is best for her.

Dolly’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Dolly needs a home with a very calm environment. While she is loving a tolerant of children, with her level of anxiety I think she would be best suited for a home without children and possibly dogs. She does not seem to have any insecurity around our other cat, they pretty much just avoid each other.
