I am a wheatin (light tan) Male Yorkshire Terrier mix Dog. I am 8 and weigh 9-10 pounds. I live in San Diego, CA.

Louee is such a cutie pie! This sweet Yorkie mix has such a loving and devoted personality. He is very small at just 8 pounds, and loves nothing more than to snuggle up in your lap and bask in the glow of the dog-human bond.
Louee is very healthy. He is up to date on shots, neutered and microchipped. He is perfectly house trained, and also crate trained.
Louee was the center of attention in a loving family until all of the kids in the family left home to go to college. Now Louee is lonely – his owner is working very long hours, and Louee is left home along far too much. She is also travelling a lot for work, and pet sitter costs are becoming very unmanageable.
Louee has so much love to offer, and his owner is dearly hoping to find him the home that he needs and very much deserves.
Louee would love to be your lap dog. He needs the security of having his owner home with him much of the time, and offers such devotion and companionship. His ideal home will be with retired or stay at home dog lovers. He is great with kids, but would be ideal for a senior dog lover. He would love to have a securely fenced yard, but that is not essential.

All About Louee
Louee is really smart. He loves to fetch balls or toys and bring them back. If he gets bored, he will play with himself-he’ll drop a ball off the couch and run and get it and bring it back-over and over. He is very loving and enjoys cuddling up in the evening to watch TV. I love that Louee is always in a good mood (if that makes sense)! Louee is a great watch dog-he will run to the door and bark even before the doorbell rings!

Louee’s Personality

Louee’s Current Home Environment
Louee is home with an older cat all day. He has access to the downstairs of the house (I keep a baby gate at the stairs to keep the animals off the carpet). He typically sleeps in our laundry room at night with the cat and neither one makes a peep until I open the door in the morning.
Louee’s Current Family:
At this point, the kids have all gone to college and I live alone with Louee and his “brother”, Prince, an orange tabby cat. Louee and Prince get along well and even sleep in the same bed at night often. Given I work all day, the “boys” are alone generally from 8am-6pm unfortunately.
Louee’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Louee loves his bed (a soft bed) and carries it around the house to be closer to me. He will get the bed from the laundry room and place it at the couch next to me while I’m watching TV. He loves balls and stuffed toys! He is good at fetching, until he is distracted! He is small so doesn’t need a big yard but loves running around.
Cute Louee Story:
In the car, Louee will typically rest on the ground in the passenger seat-I think he likes the vibration and feels comfortable there. I have cute pics of him “in” his bed, on the floor of the car. He is a great travel companion!
Why is Louee Being Rehomed?
With my last off to college, I have been traveling a lot for work (2 weeks/month). I leave Louee with a dog sitter at another house that usually has 4-5 dogs. He LOVES socializing and playing with other dogs and their kids. Louee is a sweetheart of a dog, very smart, and deserves more attention. I love him, but he shouldn’t be so isolated for so much of the day.
Louee’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
I think the above tells it all, lots of love and some more attention. Even if someone works, at least a family where there is consistency and people are generally home and not traveling every other week.
