Jack Russell Terrier For Adoption San Francisco

Hi, My name is Max!

Jack russell terrier for adoption san francisco

I am a very sweet Jack Russell Terrier. At age 14, I am very healthy and have many years of love and companionship left to offer. I weigh 20 pounds and have been neutered and am up to date on my vaccinations. I still have plenty of zip, and love to play fetch and go for walks with my humans. I’m quite healthy, really. I have a slight limp at times as a result of a ligament injury that I sustained about 4 years ago. I had surgery to repair the problem. I also have some age-related hearing loss, but it doesn’t hold me back at all. For a 14 year old pooch – I am really in good shape.

Jack russell terrier for adoption san francisco 2I live in San Francisco with my owners, who love me so much. They recently welcomed a child, who is now two. I have never really adjusted to the little one. He makes me nervous, and as a result, my owners are concerned about the two of us in the home together. They see that I have not been myself since the little one arrived. They want what is best for me, and are dearly hoping to find me a home with people who will cherish me, an where there are no babies or small children.

I would love to have some older kids to play with, and people who have lots of time and energy for me. I am not a whirling dervish, but I do like to be active and have plenty of energy.

I would love to have a fenced back yard, but that is not a deal-breaker, so long as you have the time to take me for walks. I’m a really special, devoted little guy, and I can’t wait to charm my way into your heart and home.

I will bring all my toys and belongings with me to my new home, including my tophat and tie, which I love to wear when entertaining your guests! (Yes, I am a real “party animal”!)

Please offer me the loving, forever home that I need and very much deserve!

Love, Max

Max’s Current Home Environment

we have a two year old who Max has never adjusted to. our current home environment is creating a lot of stress for Max which is why we are interested in rehoming him. we don’t think he’s happy in our home nearly as much as he used to be.

Max’s Current Family:

two human parents, a two year old boy and Max in a 1,000 sf home with a great backyard.

Max’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

anything squeaky, all food! and taking walks anywhere

Cute Max Story:

We used to have big parties at our old house and Max would love the company but when he was ready to go to sleep, he would plop down in the middle of the party and fall asleep at people’s feet!

Why is Max Being Rehomed?

See above.

Max’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Someone who has had dogs in the past and knows how much work they can be, and how much attention they need. Older children would be great with Max (10 and over) so that would be ideal….he loves to play fetch and catch etc. Even if the family does not have a big yard, as long as they are willing to take him on walks every day that would be great.
