Fort Drum, New York – Maximus is one of the nicest dogs you will ever meet. This 2 year old male Boxer mix is a very big boy at 100 pounds. He gets his size and deep booming bark from the Blue Tick Coonhound side of the family. He is very healthy, and has been neutered, fully vaccinated and house broken.
Maximus loves people, and is good with children. He is not a good choice for small kids, though, as he can be a bit like a bull in a china shop at times. He’s not good with other pets, so has to be placed in a no-pets home.
His owners love him a lot, but their son has developed severe dog allergies. It is essential to find a new home for Maximus as soon as possible.

He is very friendly to people. He just doesn’t realize how big he is, so he can be rough. He is a loud boy. Most likely from the hound half. If he is home without any other animals, he will just relax and lay down on the floor by the couch.
Reason For Rehoming
My 4 year old son is allergic. We are on the last type of medicine he can possibly take before shots. I shampoo the rugs in the house and clean the crate and blankets but it only helps for a day. It is no fair to the dog to be crated all day if he is in the house.
