Bella and Mater’s owners are very sad to have to look for a new home for their precious Miniature Dachshunds, but a move to Thailand makes this a must-do. The costs and quarantine requirements for bringing them along to Thailand are astronomical and it would be cruel to put the dogs through this. Finding them a new home in Washington where they will be cherished and kept safe, happy and healthy is a far better option for Bella and Mater.

Bella & Mater’s Personality
Bella was born around June 4, 2011 – we got her when she was about 8 weeks old. She was born deaf and with little blue eyes. She has been a delight in more ways than I can explain. She is funny, lovable, smart, full of life, loves to run in the yard (fenced), and lives to eat her meals. Super friendly and affectionate. She is in great health.
Mater was born on October 19, 2015 – we got him when he was 8 weeks, from a woman in Elgin, Oregon who raised doxies. He is a long haired, and needs grooming about every 90 days or so. He is very timid around new people-takes a little time for him to warm up. He is funny, as you can tell he wants to greet people, but his shyness keeps him at bay. He is very loyal, loving and affectionate. He is in great health.
Bella & Mater are Amazing Companions Because:
Bella – she is personality plus, funny, smart, affectionate. She has such a zest for life. She has no clue she is deaf and it has never stopped her from living her best life. Mater is her ears.
Mater – he is a quirky little guy, so timid around new people, but super curious, loyal, he loves being with his humans. Bella is his emotional support.
Bella & Mater’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Bella – plays with stuff toys, loves to run the yard (fenced), looks to see if neighbors dogs are out, loves baby carrots, cucumbers, and dental treats.
Mater – loves to look out the window; especially in front of house to see what is going on, not much into toys, loves baby carrots, cucumbers and dental treats
Why are Bella & Mater Being Rehomed?
We are moving to Thailand. We are concerned about taking them on such a long journey and how they would fare on the plane. I think it would stress them both. Especially Mater. This is not an easy decision and pains me to do this. I made a promise to them that they would be loved and safe, and rehomed together. If we can’t be with them than they need to be with each other.
