Here is how our rehoming team presented Oliver to attract his new home:

Hi, My name is Oliver!

Maiine-coon-cat-for-adoption-near-dallas-texas

Alert! Alert! The most lovable cat in Texas is looking for a new home! Oliver the cuddle cat is a 3 year old Maine Coon mix with the most delightful and fun personality. He is very much like a dog, but without the need for going on long walks, or picking up poop in the back yard.

Oliver puts a lot of effort into being special! He greets his humans at the door and follows them around the house, letting them know they are loved and appreciated. He’s not skittish like some cats. He welcomes friends into your home, and gets along well with most cats and dogs. Oliver has not been around children, but would probably do just fine, so long as they are older than 6 and treat him well.

Oliver is being rehomed because his owners have to move to the UK. Taking Oliver along would mean a long, cruel 6 month quarantine period, and they simply do not want to put Oliver through that.

They are hoping to find a loving home with people who will cherish this sweet boy. They will be including all of his supplies with him to his new home, and he has had all of his veterinary care done, including neutering, vaccinations and microchip.

Please offer Oliver the loving home he urgently needs and very much deserves today. The owners are scheduled to leave the country before Christmas, so this is an urgent situation.

Oliver’s Current Home Environment

We live in a clean apartment that has toys available for him to play with. My husband and I are the only people living here and give him a lot of attention. We have a second cat who is younger. After Oliver got to know her he got along with her fairly well and is playful with her, but does like to have his own space. He is an indoor cat only and does not have his front claws.

Oliver’s Current Family:

My husband is from Germany and I am from Minnesota. We are relocating to the UK in December due to a transfer/promotion with my husbands job. We both work full time, but the cats do well on their own. However we give them a lot of attention when we are home daily and love to be greeted by them and have cuddle and play time.

Oliver’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Favorite toy: Soft small foam ball that he loves to carry in his mouth and kick around like a soccer ball. He sometimes likes to meow with the ball in his mouth like he is talking to it, which is very sweet.
Foods: He loves almost all food (other than turkey flavor), but especially wet food with fish flavor. He is very food driven with training and positive reinforcement and loves treats.
Activities: Loves to relax, sleep, and people watch. Look out the window and play with his favorite foam ball toy.

Cute Oliver Story:

When we come home he greets us at the door and puts his front paws on our legs so we know he wants to be picked up-then gently hugs our neck to cuddle.

Why is Oliver Being Rehomed?

We are extremely sad to re-home Oliver, but due to our relocation to the UK unfortunately it is not possible for us to bring him with us.

Oliver’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

We are looking for a loving longterm home for Oliver. We would like for the new family/parent to give him a lot of attention and to take care of him like we do as part of our family
