Emma Pointer Mix Dog For Adoption Raleigh NC

Meet Emma, Pointer mix Dog For Adoption in Raleigh North Carolina

Emma is a Female Pointer mix Dog for adoption to a very loving home in or near Raleigh, North Carolina. This very special Dog is 1.5 years old and weighs 45 pounds.

Emma is being placed for adoption by owner for the following reason:

Emma is a wonderful, loving dog but she is no longer compatible to living with our other dog. I adopted Emma last July when I lived away from home. I have since had to move home and my parents also have another young dog living here. They were best friends for a long time and had fights very far between, but they have been having more frequent altercations they have increased in intensity. Emma is bigger than our other dog which makes the fights unfair and she was bitten. Emma would thrive in an only dog/animal household where she can get all of her owners love and attention, without having to share. Emma has food, toy, and attention aggression with other dogs.

Request to Adopt Emma Here

There is a $150 adoption/rehoming fee. Supplies and veterinary records will be included.

Emma’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Emma’s absolute favorite toy is her Top Paw Boss Bones, or similar type of bone. She also likes to chew on antlers as a special treat. She enjoys chasing after her small tennis ball, even though it mostly ends up rolling under the couch and I have to keep getting it lol.

She likes playing with most toys but I don’t let her play with rope or cloth toys unsupervised because she will eat them and get sick; this has happened in the past. Emma eats Rachael Ray brand food because she has a sensitive stomach and this one seems to agree with her. She likes most treats, but the Milk-bone MacroSnacks that look like pigs in a blanket are her favorite.

Emma enjoys going on long walks and would have fun hiking on trails and being in the outdoors. She likes playing fetch and running around in the backyard. While inside, Emma is entertained by watching out the window for people, birds, and other animals.

Cute Emma Story:

Emma is very funny and loves to look at herself in the glass of the fireplace for a long time lol. I don’t know if she realizes it’s her or another dog, but I imagine she is singing the Mulan song, “Reflection”, while watching. I will sometimes wave to her from behind and she will see me in the glass and turn around and run towards me.

Why is Emma Being Rehomed?

Emma is a wonderful, loving dog but she is no longer compatible to living with our other dog. I adopted Emma last July when I lived away from home. I have since had to move home and my parents also have another young dog living here. They were best friends for a long time and had fights very far between, but they have been having more frequent altercations they have increased in intensity. Emma is bigger than our other dog which makes the fights unfair and she was bitten. Emma would thrive in an only dog/animal household where she can get all of her owners love and attention, without having to share. Emma has food, toy, and attention aggression with other dogs.

Emma’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Emma needs to live in a home that has a backyard, fireplace, and a window to watch the birds and animals outside (her favorite activity). She would do well with someone who either works from home or is not out of the house for long periods of time. Emma needs to be in a one animal household, with children over 8 years.

Additional Comments:

I love Emma with all my heart and my heart is breaking having to give her to another family. She comforted me and gave me purpose through a hard time in my life and I will never forget how she made me feel. I want Emma to be loved by her new family and cherished for the rest of her life because she deserves it so much. I wish I could still be Emma’s mommy, but I know I’m not able to give her the best life anymore and I want more for her. I will be able to heal knowing that she is being cared for and loves her new family and is thriving in her new life. She is a special girl and showed me what unconditional love feels like and I am forever grateful.
