Bonded-male-cats-for-adoption11

Despite their names, Rascal and Trouble are anything but! These 2 gorgeous boys are absolutely as sweet as they look.  Both cats are just 2 years old, neutered, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and very healthy. They are very clean and well behaved.

Rascal and Trouble are the Yin to each other’s Yang. They are so much in love and just seeing them cuddled up together gives you such a sense of calm and well-being. They are the ultimate therapy cats – purring snuggle bunnies that are a sure cure for any  worries or anxiety.

These sweet cats are the cherished companions of a young woman facing an extremely difficult health crisis. She is battling cancer, and wants to go home to New York to be with family during this very difficult time.

As much as she loves Rascal and Trouble, she wants to make sure that she finds them the best home ever in Florida, before she goes home. She wants to choose a wonderful home for the boys, rather than face the possibility that her bereaved family may have to be burdened with finding them a home later. This is not an uncertainty she is willing to subject her beloved pets to, as difficult a choice as it is.

The very best home for Rascal and Trouble will be with one or two quiet cat lovers who will cherish them. The boys are very sweet and friendly, but are used to a quiet, one person home. They can be skittish in unfamiliar circumstances, and the owner is hoping to make their transition as stress-free as possible.

These cats have so much love to offer. They are so precious. Please help bring a happy ending to this very tragic situation by offering Rascal and Trouble the loving home they need and very much deserve, today.

Rascal and Trouble’s Personality

I love everything about them, they are great pets, smart and beautiful.
They are warm, calming and exceptional cats.

Rascal and Trouble’s Current Home Environment

They have lived with me for 2 years in my townhouse. They have alot of room to roam and play. They have cat toys, a large cat tree, and anything they could want. I do spoil them…and they are very content and comfortable here.
They also have a Catgenie toilet that is amazing! I love it because it’s easy and clean. They are very comfortable with their cat toilet, so it can go with them, along with their toys, cat beds and cat tree.

Rascal and Trouble’s Current Family:

My family is just me. I relocated to FL from NY for a new job. Most of my family is still in NY, so it was lonely here by myself. The cats are very used to me, but since I don’t have very much company, they are skiddish around new people, but it usually doesn’t last very long. They are very lovable and love to be pet and brushed. I get alot of comfort from them and they treat me like their mother.

Rascal and Trouble’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

They like laser toys, they are pretty young and active…but they also like to take naps. They have cat beds that they love, a tall cat tree, and a couple of small toys that are special to them. Rascal has a worn out fuzzy ball that he loves to play with…he even fetches it and leads you to it when he wants you to play with him.

Rascal & Trouble are indoor cats but love to relax in the sun on my upper patio deck.
Trouble eats Temptations Treats as if they are his food…and he has a bit of a belly because of this. Rascal likes his hard food, and his moist food. They both eat moist food and dry food each day, their favorite is Fancy Feast BROTHS, they love them. They will also eat Fancy Feast gravy lovers canned food, but only certain flavors. They seem to like fish and seafood more than beef and poultry.

Cute Rascal and Trouble Story:

Trouble was a tiny kitten when I adopted him from the animal hospital, so I nick named him “Teeny Tiny Trouble”. I call him teeny tiny more than I call him Trouble.

I actually went to the animal hospital to adopt Rascal, he was bigger and a bit older than the other cats and I didn’t think he’d have much of a chance to be adopted among the kittens. He is only a few months older than Trouble, but he looked more like an adult cat at that point. When I arrived to pick him up, the girls that worked there sent me a photo of Rascal with his little buddy from earlier in the day and said they should be adopted together. I looked at the photo and couldn’t agree more…they were adorable and attached at the hip. So I ended up taking both. They are close and play together…but also wrestle together…but they do not hurt each other. They take turns grooming each other, but Rascal acts more like Trouble’s parent.

Why is Rascal and Trouble Being Rehomed?

The owner is facing a serious health crisis requiring her to relocate to New York. Not able to take the cats along.

Rascal and Trouble’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Since they have not been in a family situation, I do not know how they’d react to kids or other pets. I think Trouble might be easier to adapt than Rascal.
I really prefer a situation similar to mine, a single person or couple…without any existing pets or young toddler age children. They love sunning on the deck, but will run and “explore” if they are able to get loose. I don’t want to worry about them being lost in the outdoors or killed by a car or another animal, so I need them to be protected and cared for as indoor pets. I want them to be rehomed together because this will be extremely stressful enough for them without losing each other.

Additional Comments:

I love my cats, they are my family here in Florida, so I am very concerned about who and where they end up. I really don’t want to worry about them and I hope this is the best decision for their well being.

It will be difficult to give them up, and I will miss them tremendously, so I hope we can find them a wonderful forever home.
