Sometime Tucker will grab your finger when you pet him and try to take you with him. He will also jump up into you arms and sit on your shoulder.
Why is Tucker Being Rehomed?
The environment changed for him with a new baby and stray cats coming around. This is making him territorial and has started peeing on his bed, baby blankets, etc. We can no longer keep him in the house and he is not made for a barn. We want him to go to a home that will fit his unique personality.
Unfortunately, he started peeing on my grandson’s stuff when he was born 2 years ago. We moved him out to the heated barn with our other cats. We live in the country and there are strays around all the time and they spray. The new baby and the strays are making him feeling territorial, he did not do this prior to our grandson’s birth.
He is very attached to people more then other animals. He gets destressed not being around us. We keep him in the garage during the day so we visit him daily. Because of him peeing in the house we cannot keep him inside. We believe he is not in the right environment to break this behavior. We cannot control the strays or our grandson coming over.
We would like to see him go to a home where he is one on one with someone who needs his companionship as much as he needs theirs. This would be the best case for him and I believe he would no longer feel territorial and will stop this behavior.
Tucker’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Single elder, family with no children. Anyone who spends time at home with him. He is a people cat, needs love and attention. Needs someone who will be patient with him, understanding the reasons behind (and how to put an end to) his improper urinating behaviour. (Caused by the presence of young child/baby and the presence of feral cats in the vicinity). In an only-pet environment with plenty of love, care and attention from his human(s), he will shine and be the clean, happy cat he was before the baby grandchild came along)
