Niko is a Male Siberian Husky Dog for adoption to a very loving home in or near Louisville, KY. This very special dog is 17 months old. A large dog, Niko weighs 60 pounds.
Niko is healthy and very well behaved. He has been neutered, is up to date on his shots, and has also been micro-chipped. He is an absolutely stunning dog – a tricolor Siberian Husky with ice-blue eyes.

Niko has a really wonderful personality. He loves to play and can be goofy and fun, but at the same time he can behave himself when the situation calls for it. He is good with children and other dogs – particularly other Huskies. Cats are not a good fit for Niko.
Niko’s owners are a married couple with very busy work schedules. His Mom used to work from home and was able to spend lots of time with Niko. Now her work situation has changed, and Niko is spending way too much time at home alone – or at doggie daycare. (So expensive!)
They love Niko, and have had to make the difficult decision to find him another home – one where he will be around people most of the time, and, hopefully, a family who already own a Husky who needs a playmate.
Niko will be rehomed with any supplies the owners have on hand for him, and veterinary records will also be included. His owners would love to stay in touch with Niko in his new home, but only if that is something his new family would be comfortable with.

We both work full time and have to put him in doggie day care a lot. I know he misses us when he has to go there though he loves the people there as well. There are no other pets at home and I think he would prefer to be with other huskies.

We are 2 married adults that both work full time. One of us used to work from home all the time but that has changed and I don’t feel like Niko is getting the attention he needs.

Loves to run and play with other dogs. Tug is a favorite game of his. Sometimes likes to play ball if he’s in the mood.
