5 Amazing Things About Nani:

She is always excited to be around her people.
She tries to be gentle with small dogs.
She loves meeting strangers on walks, but she is always on the alert and protective at home when people show up.
She is very expressive and good at letting us know when she wants something. I think she could be trained to communicate with the talking buttons, but would mostly want to ask for treats.
She likes long walks and short runs.

Nani’s Personality

Nani is super friendly and loving to her people and anyone who wants to give her attention. She can tell when people notice her and she wants to meet them.

She loves other dogs, but her size and energy can be intimidating to small or nervous animals. She tends to want to play right away without much “getting to know you”.

She likes to vocalize and announce her presence when we go to places like doggie daycare or boarding. She is very intelligent.

She is so excited to see people she likes that she needs help staying calm and not jumping up. This can be family or neighbors she recognizes as her friends.

Nani’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

She has some balls she likes to chase in the yard. She has some stuffed animals that she likes to play tug and fetch with. Her favorite foods are probably bully sticks, pig ears, and chicken heart treats.

She likes going for walks and meeting people and exploring. At the dog park she likes to race other dogs for their ball more than she likes to play fetch alone.

Cute Nani Story:

Nani is cute and funny every day. Sometimes on a walk she will flop on the ground like she’s so tired and then pop back up a minute later full of energy. After her dinner she will walk to the treat box, look at us and put her paw on the box letting us know she’s ready for dessert.

She’s decided that every mail carrier she sees has treats for her and she will try to get us to walk her over to them so she can have one. Her vocalizations can sound like she’s trying to speak to us like a person. No matter how tired she seems, as soon as she hears the jingle of her leash she is ready to go for a walk.

Why is Nani Being Rehomed?

Nani would have a better life with a larger property to run around, more space between neighbors, and fewer temptations for escaping. Like most Huskies, Nani has a prey drive. She has gotten out of our yard and gone after neighbor animals like bunnies and chickens. She will be better suited to a home not in proximity to these temptations.

Nani’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Nani needs a home with people who have time to give her attention and exercise, and a secure yard big enough for zoomies – tall fences, locked gates, and maybe an invisible fence. She loves her people, but she is an escape artist who will run and play keep away.
