I am an 8 years young female Tuxedo cat looking for my forever home anywhere within a reasonable distance of San Diego. I am a healthy, well behaved and very friendly and affectionate cat. I love people and am good with respectful children and cat-friendly dogs.
My owner is a senior who is experiencing memory and cognitive difficulties, so can no longer care for me. I am currently living with and being cared for by her son, who is dearly hoping to find me the home I deserve!
I have so much love, joy and laughter to bring to your home. I am not just a cat – I am a little clown, a great listener, a purring machine, a great playmate and (hopefully) your new best friend. I really need a home – won’t you offer me one today?

I was stunned how fast she adapts when she has had to move. Once she sees all her stuff and where it’s at she’s totally chill.
Cookie’s Personality
Cookie is an extremely sweet green/golden eyed kitty, chill and a purr factory. She will chase toys and loves to kick her tennis ball. Loves to be brushed. And is able to stay on her own for a day or two with no worries. She’s a tail wagger like a dog sometimes. But she needs a family.
She has been my mothers companion animal, and even adapted to live with her in no time at all at the assisted living home. But my mother’s health and mental faculties declined such that it was not fair to Cookie to have her stay there anymore.

She likes to lay out with her back feet sticking out and we think she looks like a seal! Will groom your hair affectionately, greets you at the door every time. And can be a goof as cats can be. Always seeking a tall spot to check out what’s going on.
Why is Cookie Being Rehomed?
Again, is my elderly mother’s cat but wasn’t fair for to Cookie to have her keep staying with her as her health and mental faculties declined. We have exhausted our circle of trusted people trying to find a good home, most people already have cats as we do as well. We have tried for several months and time to step it up because Cookie needs a family.
Cookie’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Someone who will keep her indoors and safe, and is either already or willing to be a “cat person” and wants a friendly kitty in their life every day. We so want this to be her forever home. She has been with my Mom about six years.
