Fiona and Theo’s Personality

1. Her eyes are very soulful
2. She is very loving to me
3. She likes to talk to me when I get home and tell me about her day and that she is hungry. She woo woo’s.
4. Loves her brother Theo and grooms him often
5. Looks at me with such hope

Fiona is very possessive of me and does not get along well with my other 2 dogs. However, she was surrendered with a sibiling, Theo, who she gets along very well with and I am hoping to place them both together. I rescued them from a shelter at the same time. They are very bonded. She bit one of my dogs in the neck, which required surgery, and that is why I am trying to re-home her and her brother. They really need a home with no other pets.

Fiona and Theo’s Current Home Environment

I have a duplex and a fenced in yard with a doggie door. My dogs are allowed to go in and out of the door whenever they need to. However, with Fiona and her brother Theo I do crate them at night and have started crating them during the day after one of my other dogs was bit. I currently have 4 dogs. I spent a lot of time at home on the weekend and the evenings, but I do work 5 days a week and gone 10 hours a day. I live alone.

Fiona and Theo’s Current Family:

I am single so the only person in the household. I love my dogs and feel heartbroken that I am trying to re-home Fiona & Theo. I rescued them from the Mineral Wells Shelter on 9/19/19. I am afraid that my other 2 dogs are no longer safe unless I am home and/or the dogs are crated when I am gone. I am not comfortable having to crate my dogs 5 days/week 10 hours a day, which is what I am doing as of Monday, 12/2/19 for Fiona & Theo. That is why I have a doggie door and up until this past Monday they were not crated during the day.

Fiona and Theo’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Soft toys, rawhides, Purina Pro Plan with a little pumpkin in their morning portion. Also, milk bones & dentistixs at night. She does not beg for food. She likes to lay in the sun and run around the yard. I have walked her a few times and she is still a bit nervous on the lease but easy to walk, considering I am walking 4.

Cute Fiona and Theo Story:

She likes to woo woo at me when I get home and in the morning when I am feeding her. I think of it as her talking to me. She is very protective of her brother and when I was adopting them they would not leave each others side.

Why is Fiona and Theo Being Rehomed?

I have 2 dogs that have been in my home for 10+ years and one of them who is blind was bit in the neck by I believe Fiona and required surgery. She is more aggressive than her brother, never bit me, but I fear it may happen again. I do not feel comfortable crating them all day every day during the week and do not have a set up when I can keep the dogs separated during the day when I am gone without a crate.

Fiona and Theo’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I would love a family that has someone who is home more during the day and does not have any other pets. Fiona and her brother Theo are good dogs and just need a home when someone can spend the time to train them and love on them. They are always really good when I am home with them. The “bad” behaviors, chewing paper, books, electronics has only happened when unsupervised. They just need a chance. I am not sure what the situation was when they were surrendered to the shelter.

Additional Comments:

I would love to know how the dogs are doing but obviously that would be up to the new owner. I really do love these dogs and want the right fit for them. I intend to keep them until the right situation comes along.
