Here is how our Nevada pet rehoming team presented Prickly to attract his new family:
Hi, My name is Prickly Pear!
I am a Black and White Tuxedo Male Maine Coon Cat. I am 9 years young and weigh 18 pounds. I live in Las Vegas, NV.
Prickly Pear is such a loving boy. He loves to snuggle, and even enjoys being picked up and carried around like a baby.
He and his two domestic shorthair friends (who are equally affectionate and sweet) are looking for a new home together.
All three are very healthy, up to date on shots, microchipped and litter trained. They will be rehomed with supplies.
Their owner recently went through a divorce. Because her job requires that she travel frequently and for longer periods of time, the cats are not getting the care, attention and affection that they need and very much deserves.
She is dearly hoping to find them a home (preferably together) where they will be cherished, well cared for and given lots of attention.
The three amigos! It would be wonderful to have the cats adopted as a trio.
Please offer these sweet cats a loving home today.

Prickly Pear’s Current Home Environment
It is mostly quiet. Lots of love and lots of attention most of the time. There are great, comfortable places to sleep. There is tons of windows.
Prickly Pear’s Current Family:
It used to be my husband and myself. We were always home. They got a lot of attention from us. My husband and I have recently split and I am never home. MY husband was the one that gave them the most attention, he doted on them, and he is no longer here. I now travel a lot for my job and am not able to give them the attention that they need or are used to.
Prickly Pear’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
The pet’s favorite toy is string, feathers, wadded up paper balls, and of course the famous laser pointer. All of the cats love going outside in an enclosed area, like a patio. They are not outside cats! They do not roam outside, but they do love going out in the backyard or patio.
Two of the cats will do anything for treats (Pumpkin and Prickles) and one (Kandy) does not care. I put my cats on a wet food diet last year and the was the best thing I ever did for them. They are so healthy, active and happy. I do keep dry food out just in case I am not able to feed them accordly because the wet food needs to be fed to them at least 2 times a day.
Cute Prickly Pear Story:
Prickles_ Everyday is heatwarming. He is the biggest love bug! But I loved taking him to the beach at night in San Diego and having him follow me around for hours.
Pumpkin- His nickname is “Squeakers” He will walk towards you and give you the most adorable “mew” and give the biggest stretch, that’s when you know he’s ready for his petting. He will then climb in your lap and melt in your lap and stay for hours in your warmth.
Kandy- When Kandy wants attention she will let you know. She will lay on the ground and stretch like a banana and roll around until you pet her. Maybe one of the most adorable things I have ever seen. You can tell she is so smart. We called her the “ninja cat” She is the best jumper and drawer opener ever. There has been times I have seen her on the top of a door or in a drawer thinking, how did she get up there or open that.
Why is Prickly Pear Being Rehomed?
Like I said in the “Please Tell Us A Little About Your Family” section, my husband and I are getting a divorce and I travel a lot. It is unfair for my cats who are so amazing to be getting this little of attention. They deserve a family who will love them as much or more as my previous (pre-divorce) family.
Prickly Pear’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
My cats are so sweet. They need a family that wants cats that are love and adore cats.
I would like to know how my kitties are doing. I don’t need lots of contact but just a once in awhile update will be nice.
