Junie is a great hiker, before children she used to regularly go on overnight camping and hiking trips with her parents. She carries her own little pack and responds to command off leash often hiking g with no leash at all and staying within 5 feet of her family.
Why is Junie Being Rehomed?
Like many older dogs, and particularly Shepherd breeds, Junie is nervous around small children. They tend to move and behave in unpredictable ways, which is hard on Shepherds, who’s job it is to predict the movements of everybody around them. Junie’s anxiety around this is causing her to be reactive when she feels threatened, and this makes for a difficult situation with young children in the home. She will be perfect in a home with adults only, or children older than 8 years of age.
