Everest’s Personality

Everest is still very much a puppy. Like most Labs and Lab mixes, she is slow to mature, and still displays puppy antics. She will benefit from obedience training as she matures into the best dog ever. She is high energy, playful and loves cuddles and has the biggest heart of any dog. She loves to run, dig and stretch out and sun bathe. She’s very strong and is sometimes difficult to walk because of how much she pulls, however a “gentle leader” harness should help this tremendously.

Everest, like most dogs, is attracted to garbage, so it is important that her new owners understand that the garbage has to be locked away from her, and to pay attention on walks that she doesn’t find something she should not have such as wrappers and other refuse. She is a foodie like most Labs.

Everest’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

she loves long walks, digging and running. She loves any toy, or anything that can be made into a toy. She eats kibble for her breakfast and dinner, but she enjoys fruits and veggies as a treat. not tomatoes though.

Why is Everest Being Rehomed?

I have a physical disability and Everest is half of my body weight. With her strength and wanting to explore and run, it makes it difficult on my body to walk her. I recently moved into a small apartment from a big house with a big backyard. I don’t believe she is getting the life she deserves at this point. She was living with two cats and her sister. I moved with my cat and her, however every time she sees my cat she barks. He’s a scaredy cat and doesn’t like loud noises, so he’s constantly trapped in my bedroom where i have to keep the door closed. I believe rehoming Everest would improve both of my animals quality of life.

Everest’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Someone who has patience, a more active lifestyle than I do. I believe she would flourish as a single pet. She deserves someone who is willing to give her cuddles anytime she needs, with lots of space for her to play.

Everest deserves to live her life to the fullest. She is very loved. I just want someone to take good care of her.
