Meet Church – Pre-Loved Orange Tabby cat For Adoption by Owner in Edmonton Alberta

Church – The Chubby Orange Gentleman Looking for His Next Great Love Story

If you’ve ever wanted a roommate who looks at you like you hung the moon and reminds you (loudly, lovingly, and with great confidence) that it is absolutely breakfast time, then allow me to introduce you to Church — Edmonton’s most distinguished orange tabby and part-time comedian.

One glance into those big, soft eyes and you’ll understand why his family calls him their “sunset-colored heart.” One cuddle with him, and you’ll wonder how you ever lived without eighteen pounds of warm, purring friendship draped across your lap like a weighted blanket with opinions.

Church is not a cat who rushes through life. No, he is a man of leisure, a feline philosopher, a champion napper who believes wholeheartedly in slow mornings and long afternoons. His favorite sport is “lounging with enthusiasm.” His favorite hobby? Supervising absolutely nothing in particular from the coziest spot he can find.

And despite his very chill approach to life, he takes one job extremely seriously: alerting the household of all culinary events. Breakfast? Announced. Dinner? Announced. Treat time? Announced with the conviction of a town crier and the charm of a cat who knows he’s adorable and is willing to use it.

But Church isn’t just funny — he’s tender. He’s the sort of cat who curls into your side without asking, presses his warm body against yours, and purrs like he’s telling you a secret. He talks, too — soft little chirps, quiet commentary, gentle reminders that love is easiest when shared freely.

He’s exceptionally clean, wonderfully polite, and so cuddly that he seems permanently convinced he was meant to be a stuffed animal. His favorite possession? His laser toy… because dignity is optional when red dots are involved.

Rehoming Church is breaking his owner’s heart. This choice comes from love, not lack. Life circumstances changed, finances tightened, and no matter how much it hurts, they know he deserves a home where he’ll have everything he needs, without compromise. They want him to have the kind of future every great cat deserves — soft laps, steady routines, hands that pet him often, and humans who smile every time he waddles into the room.

Church is healthy, easygoing, endlessly affectionate, and wonderfully chatty. He’s an indoor boy who has never ventured beyond the patio and doesn’t seem to mind — his kingdom includes every sunbeam that lands on the furniture, and that’s more than enough for him.

He’d thrive with someone who enjoys closeness… someone who wants a companion, not just a pet. Someone who appreciates a good cuddle, a warm presence, and a cat whose heart is just as big as his belly.

Now, Church does come with one small quirk: he will absolutely let you know when meals should occur. He considers this a public service. You may consider it delightful comic relief. Either way, you’ll never miss breakfast again.

And now he waits — softly, hopefully — for the next chapter of his story. Maybe that’s with you.

If you’ve been longing for a cat who greets you like family, snoozes like a champion, communicates like a tiny furry poet, and fills the room with warmth just by existing… then Church might be your once-in-a-lifetime companion.

If your heart is tugging even a little, follow it. Church is ready to love you deeply, loudly at mealtimes, and forever. Apply today — he’s waiting to meet you.

Amazing Things About Church:

  1. He likes to cuddle,
  2. he’s very relaxed and usually likes to lay around the house.
  3. He is like an alarm clock, he’ll let you know when it’s breakfast or dinner time….or even treat time.

Church’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished cat, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do.

They are hoping to find the right home where this deserving cat will be loved unconditionally and kept safe, happy, healthy and well-cared-for.

If you have room in your heart and home for Church, then please offer a loving, forever home today. Church can’t wait to show you the true meaning of unconditional love.
