Looking for a Tortoiseshell cat for adoption in Saskatoon, SK? Momo would love to be considered for the position of your cherished family companion.

Meet Momo – Pre-Loved Tortoiseshell cat For Adoption by Owner in Saskatoon SK

She answers when you say hello.

Not loudly. Not dramatically. Just a soft, polite little reply — as if she’s saying, “Yes, I hear you. I see you. I’m here.”
That’s Momo. A quiet presence with a very big heart, waiting for the next person she gets to love with her whole, gentle soul.

Momo is the kind of tortoiseshell cat who makes a home feel lived in and loved. She’s impeccably clean, beautifully groomed, and carries herself with a certain calm confidence… right up until she has one of her endearingly derpy moments that reminds you she’s also very much a cat. She knows her name, understands boundaries (a rare feline talent), and seems to genuinely enjoy being part of the conversation — especially if that conversation involves cuddling on the couch and exchanging long, meaningful glances while she purrs herself into a happy trance.

Affection is Momo’s love language. Give her a fleece blanket and she’ll repay you in fresh, warm biscuits made directly on your lap — several times a day. When she loves you, she really loves you. She’ll stroke you back with her tail while you pet her, because in Momo’s world, affection should always be mutual. She greets her people with soft little vocals, has a sweet, gentle voice, and somehow manages to be both sassy and deeply tender at the same time.

Her story didn’t begin easily. Momo was rescued young, in winter, along with her newborn kittens — a quiet testament to her resilience and adaptability. She has always risen to the occasion, always found a way to thrive. And now, once again, she’s facing change — not because she’s done anything wrong, but because life shifted for the human who loves her.

Work and travel demands now keep her person away from home for long stretches, and Momo deserves consistency, companionship, and the kind of presence that lets her feel secure and cherished every day.

She does best with people who notice her — who talk to her, include her, and let her be right in the middle of the action where she believes she belongs. She enjoys playtime (string toys and fabric hair elastics are her absolute weakness), loves bird-watching from windows, and would thrive in a safe environment where she can explore, imagine, and maybe even keep the local mouse population on their toes. She’s intelligent, self-regulating with food, and happiest when life feels gentle and predictable.

Momo isn’t demanding — but she is emotionally intelligent. She needs connection. She needs kindness. She needs someone who understands that love isn’t always loud… sometimes it sounds like a soft purr, a quiet greeting, or a tail gently brushing your arm in passing.

If you’re looking for a cat who will truly see you — who will return your affection tenfold and make your house feel like home — Momo is ready. Ready to settle in. Ready to love deeply. Ready to belong.

If you have room in your heart and home for this remarkable tortoiseshell girl, we invite you to apply to adopt Momo today. She can’t wait to say hello — and mean it.

5 Amazing Things About Momo:

Momo is very clean and well-groomed.

Momo loves love. We have spent countless evenings cuddling and exchanging meaningful glances. She purrs a lot.

Momo has her derpy moments but is very intelligent. She knows her name and understands “no”. Recommend keeping her name if possible for this reason.

Momo’s vocals are sweet and soft, and she will greet you back with her own version of “hello”.

Momo’s petting is reciprocal. All you need is a fleece blanket, and you will have fresh biscuits on your lap several times a day. When she loves you, she will also pet and stroke you with her tail. But, she expects to receive an equal amount of petting back.

Momo’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished cat, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do.

They are hoping to find the right home where this deserving cat will be loved unconditionally and kept safe, happy, healthy and well-cared-for.

If you have room in your heart and home for Momo, then please offer a loving, forever home today. Momo can’t wait to show you the true meaning of unconditional love.

Her homemade cat tree has recently been retired, but she will happily take on any new bed intended for cats – be sure it is sturdy! She is diligent with filing her nails and currently uses a coconut mat and live edge wood, which would need to be replaced by her new owners (recommend a new cat tree/bed with these included).

If required, the new owner can take her crate, though I would prefer to keep this in case it’s needed for a lost cat in the neighbourhood in the future.

Momo’s Personality

Sassy and sweet. Curious and must be in the middle of the action at all times. Momo is an intellectual connector and requires regular acknowledgement of her presence and cuteness. She loves to love and be loved.

Momo’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Momo loves fabric coated hair elastics above all, and loves to play fetch. Anything string-like will capture her attention. She loves windows and bird watching.

Momo is active and needs space to get lost in her imagination and play. She is attracted to the outdoors, and would live her best life in a safe environment where she can enjoy the outside. She would help you keep your mice at bay with pleasure.

Momo has done very well with Blue Buffalo kibble, daily fresh water, and plenty of Greenies to keep her teeth and breath fresh. This results in a litter box that is tidy and easy to maintain. She can self-regulate her own portions, and feels more comfortable if there is always food in her bowl. She has not shown interest in wet food, and is not generally motivated by food or accustomed to unhealthy “treats”. Her best reward is soft cute voice tones and pets.

Cute Momo Story:

Momo was rescued very young with her three newborn kittens in a backyard in Mayfair, in the middle of winter. Her resilience and ability to adapt to change is formidable.

Why is Momo Being Rehomed?

Life and work situation has changed, I am away from home for weeks at a time sometimes.

Momo’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Momo will love you if you are kind and give her lots of gentle affection and attention. She loves to play, where you will see her sassy side. She needs consistent company and does not like to be left alone for long periods of time, though she has experience enduring this.

Momo has had her first two rounds of vaccinations. I have a recent email from City Park vet detailing the vaccinations are due, but I will wait for your instructions as I know some adoption agencies provide vaccinations.

Her eye color is unique – a ring of green surrounded by a ring of yellow. The appearance of the color changes with the light, as you can see with her photos.

She has a particular weakness for spider plants – best to keep these out of reach!
