This very handsome set of twin cats have been fixed, fully vaccinated, litterbox trained and microchipped. The boys enjoy spending time with adults, but are shy around children. They would do well in a home with a cat-friendly dog.

To say that these cats are amazing would be an understatement. Edgar is the quintessential Love Cat. He is so friendly and affectionate! Edgar loves to cuddle and would be happy to do so every minute of every day. Hades is a bit more independent, but is also very friendly and cuddly once he gets to know you. Both cats are playful and fun. They love to play wrestle and play hide and hunt, finding new hiding spots from which to pounce on each other daily. They love to spend time in sunny windows and nap in sunbeams.
Edgar and Hades’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished cats. Unfortunately, one of their owners has developed severe cat allergies, and living with the boys is, at best, uncomfortable. They are hoping to find a new home for Edgar and Hades where they will be cherished and kept safe, happy, and healthy for life.

Hades has had recurring blood in his stool. Lab tests have been performed and have come back negative for both parasites and bacteria. The cause is thought to be the food he was on. He otherwise appears to be happy and comfortable, and since changing his food to the sensitive stomach formula, he has not had this problem.

I recently started them both on Royal Canin Sensitive Stomach to see if it helps with Hades bloody stool problem. I only changed food within the last two weeks but already I have begun noticing a difference. Before that they ate Blue Wilderness. They don’t seem to have much brand preference but they love the Royal Canin. They do not like wet food.

Edgar and Hades’s Personality
Both cats are very sweet and affectionate, especially Edgar. Edgar is the more curious and adventurous one who loves to find new spots to hide and ways to play. He loves constant attention and will cuddle with you and knead on you all day if you let him. Hades is much more relaxed and low maintenance. He loves cuddles, but only when he decides it’s time. Hades is the alpha of the two, and they get into little play fights every day that he can sometimes push a little too far, when he needs to be scolded. Otherwise they are two happy kitties who just love to sleep.
They have not been around other animals or children, but they are keenly interested when they see other cats out the window. They are not aggressive in the slightest. Edgar loves meeting new people and will immediately come to a stranger to be pet and even picked up. Hades is a bit more shy but doesn’t take long to warm up to people as long as it’s quiet.
Why is Edgar and Hades Being Rehomed?
I will soon be moving to Virginia with my girlfriend (soon to be fiancé) who has developed allergies to the cats. The trauma of a long distance move and my new living arrangements make the prospect of keeping my boys unfair to both the cats and my girlfriend.
