Petey’s Personality
Petey is a good-natured, lovable bulldog mix. He loves people, dogs and cats–honestly hasn’t met a person or animal he doesn’t like! He’s fully housebroken and super good-natured–happy all the time and always wants to please. Lots of energy–par for the course with a young dog–and loves to go on walks and car rides. He loves his people and wants to know where they are at all times (so putting him in his crate when you’re away is important :). He is crate trained and willingly tucks himself into his “room.”

Cute Petey Story:
There are so many! He’s very goofy–will just suddenly start to chase his tail and then fall over. It’s also not unusual for him to crash in the afternoon and start dreaming, which you’ll know because he “runs and talks” in his sleep. I work from home and am often on video calls–which Petey will occasionally crash when he decides to come over and put his head on my shoulder to tell me he loves me (and his big head shows up on camera for a laugh.
Why is Petey Being Rehomed?
We’ve been fostering Petey after a friend of the family had financial problems and couldn’t take care of him. We travel in our RV for most of the year–so live in a small space with an elderly min pin. Petey is great–but he is a big energetic dog who needs more space and ability to run and play! He’s also more rambunctious than Dink (our little dog) can handle at times. If we had more space he’d be in his forever home–but for his benefit and ours we’re looking for a new home.
Petey’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
We’re looking for a loving home with a family who can take good care of Petey–give him affection and exercise. He’s great on a leash, so a fenced yard would be nice but not a must as long as he gets out for walks and play.
Petey is overall very well behaved. As a young dog, you do have to make sure he’s in his crate when you’re not around or he’ll get into mischief! Overall he’s not a chewer, but on two instances he has gotten out of his crate and chewed a few things up (hasn’t ever done that when we’re around).
