Looking for a Basenji mix dog for adoption in Hudson Florida and area? Just 8 years old and weighing 45 lbs, Atlas is a charming medium sized dog with so much to offer. Atlas has been neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, house broken, leash trained, and obedience trained. He is what we refer to as a “ready to love” dog – just adopt and adore!

Atlas’s owner describes him as follows:
Atlas is a great dog, sweet loving and the smartest dog I have ever had. He is easy going and loves to play and go for walks. He likes people and does well in crowds. He is always smiling and happy. Loves to play fetch and run around.
Atlas is a well behaved dog and is welcoming of everyone. He gets along well with dog-friendly cats and other dogs. He hasn’t had much exposure to children, but he would be AOK with well behaved older kids.
Atlas’s owner is very sad to have to rehome her beloved dogs (Atlas has a best friend, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix called Sox, with whom he would love to be placed). She moved to Florida for her health and lives in an RV. Going from living in a home with a big yard to being cooped up in such a small space has been hard on the dogs. Heather wants the dogs to be happy, and is dearly hoping to find a better situation for them where they will be kept safe, happy and healthy.
Ideally, their home would be with dog lovers who live in a house with a securely fenced yard. These are very special dogs with so much love and companionship to offer their forever family.

I am willing to drive within reason even to bordering states. I care 100% the most about finding them a good home where they can have a yard and lots of love.
Why is Atlas Being Rehomed?
They are not happy being cooped up in an RV. They need and deserve to live in a house with a back yard.
