At their summer community, Jasper has repeatedly encountered two small male terriers who have attacked him.

Another occurred recently. During that encounter, Jasper eventually grabbed one of the dogs by its harness in an effort to make the attack stop.

His family subsequently consulted trainers, who believe these repeated experiences have left Jasper with a strong negative association with those particular dogs.

Unfortunately, this is a very small community. Avoiding them reliably has proven extremely difficult.

And Jasper is the bigger dog.

His family is understandably worried that if another incident occurs and Jasper tries to defend himself, he could be blamed simply because he’s larger and capable of doing more harm.

They don’t want to take that chance.

Importantly, Jasper’s family reports that he continues to get along and play well with other dogs. They even have video showing his friendly interactions with them.
