Clyde is good with people with whom he is familiar, but has reacted in an aggressive manner towards visitors to his owners home. He takes his job of family protector very seriously.

Clyde’s Personality
See above. He is so incredibly playful and toy driven. The best way to get on his good side is just hold up a ball and he will love you forever. He loves fetch. He would play it for hours. He is super snuggly and will cuddle with you on the couch. He doesn’t chew on anything in the house and has never had an accident inside. He is a very sweet boy with his people.
Why is Clyde Being Rehomed?
We love Clyde so much, he is so loyal and sweet and smart and just wants to play all the time. He and our first dog Charlie get along sometimes, but lately they have been fighting really aggressively and we’re worried about that. (its brought on by both of them honestly, not just him). We just had our second baby and have a 2 year old who is becoming more and more interested in the dogs. He has never shown any hint of aggression towards them, I think he views them as part of our family/pack. But most other people, especially if they come into our home, he is very aggressive towards. There are a lot more details and things that can be explained over the phone, but overall we are worried about our kids and their friends and someone potentially getting hurt. We don’t have the means or time to re-train him, he has been through obedience training and is smart and obedient, and we had some aggression training when he was younger. He is a giant teddy bear with us which is what makes it so hard and such a heartbreaking decision. We also would be so devastated if he had to get put down which is why we care a lot about where he would go and want to be extra thorough and make sure someone has the time, patience, and situation that would be good for him. He really needs someone with no other pets and no kids and can be his buddy. He would literally protect you and sacrifice himself for you if you were his person. He really is the best boy.
