She is healthy, spayed, fully vaccinated, litter box trained, well behaved and a joy to spend time with. Nature’s paintbrush did a fabulous job on Pua with her very unique and vibrant coat. She has the sweetest face!
Pua’s Story:
Pua has lived a happy life with her elderly owner for the past several years. Tragically, her owner became frail and developed memory issues, which has resulted in her having to relocate to an elder care facility.

This has left Pua in need of a new home and a new human. She was cherished by her owner, and is now being cared for by her owner’s nephew, who came from Ireland to help arrange her care. He would love to take Pua home if he could, but this is not possible without an extended period of quarantine, which, with Covid, takes even longer.
He is hoping to find a wonderful new home for Pua where this very special and affectionate cat will be cherished and kept safe, happy, and healthy for the remaining years of her life.
Pua has been given a clean bill of health by her vet and is up to date on vaccines. She will bring a brand new litter box, a month’s supply of food, treats and cat litter, all her toys and accessories along with her. All you need to add is a good home and lots of love. Adopt Pua today!

She’s been eating Kirkland Signature premium ‘Maintenance’, a chicken and rice formula. I once got a different food and she ate it without problem, so I think she’s adaptable. She grazes, so I keep her bowl topped up a couple times a day and make sure there’s kibble in her bowl before bed. Sometimes she eats from that and sometimes not. She doesn’t overeat but as much as she likes. She might be a little overweight, but not excessively.

Pua’s Personality
Pua is a house cat. She’s never been outside the condo where she lives. She’s completely house trained and uses her litter box as the only place for poo and pee. So she is tidy.
Pua is quite affectionate and has taken to me after a brief period of shyness. She loves head, ear and body scratches. She has a lovely, expressive meow. She can be left alone without upset when I need to go out.
She is calm except those moments in the day when she wants to run about, but nothing crazy or excessive. She does get used to visitors and started coming out to greet and hang out with the hospice carers who came to the condo a couple times a week.
One of the carers wanted to take her home, but she has a rambunctious dog who would make that impossible. Pua used to have another cat companion here, but that cat passed away about a year ago. So she is compatible with other cats. She probably would like the companionship.
Why is Pua Being Rehomed?
Pua belongs to my aunt, who has just gone into a nursing home. She is 84 and frail. I live in Ireland, normally, and need to return home after caring for my aunt for 2 years here in Honolulu. Pua needs a home and I want to place her happily.
Pua sleeps on the bed with me on a towel. So sometimes she finds a snug in the closet. She was a little disoriented when my aunt went away into the nursing home, but she is ok and attached to me. I want to find her a home, rather than just put her out so to speak, before I have to return to my home in Ireland.
