Sonny’s Personality
He is sweet, loving & affectionate. He always wants to be with you & get anxious to be left alone. He loves to cuddle & snuggle & is very loyal. He loves to eat. He loves to hunt & catch. In Florida, he loved catching iguanas! He has a lot of energy & loves to run. His aggression towards larger dogs happened after an attack several years ago. Ever since Sonny has not been controllable around large dogs.
He is not currently up to date with vaccines because we recently moved to VT & have just found a new vet. He is scheduled for annual visit to be fully updated on Aug 24. He is only lapsed in shots by 1.5 months.
Why is Sonny Being Rehomed?
My husband and I have recently changed living situations and live in a small space. Sonny needs room to run free & we don’t have the outdoor space for just him alone. We live nearby a large dog & anytime Sonny sees the dog he will try to attack.
We are also expecting our first child in late August. Sonny is not safe to be outside alone, and even on leash well attended he poses a threat to my personal safety of not being able to control him. It feels like a very hard decision but it feels right to find a new home for him. We can’t offer him the physical space he needs to exercise & explore & cannot offer him & our family a safe environment.
Sonny’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Senior or retired dog owner who spends lots of time at home or can take him with them. Owns a home with a fenced back yard. No other dogs, cats or small children.
