Chocolate Labrador Retriever Mix Puppy for Adoption in Kansas City, Missouri
Looking for a Chocolate Labrador Retriever mix puppy to adopt in Kansas City, Missouri? Just 9 months old and weighing about 76 pounds, Bean has been fixed, fully vaccinated, housebroken, and crate-trained. He is good with older children, adults, dog-friendly cats and other dogs.
Bean is a typical Lab puppy – he has tons of energy and loves to play and goof around. He is also a sweet and affectionate companion with unlimited love and devotion for his humans, whom he loves with all his heart.
Bean’s owner is a senior who bit off a bit more than she could chew in adopting a Lab puppy. She wasn’t prepared for the activity level and sheer brute strength of a Lab, so as Bean has gotten bigger, she is finding it more and more difficult to care for him. Bean hasn’t had the obedience training he needs, and still has a tendency to jump when people come over. He is in no way aggressive – just damned glad to see people! He runs right up to them and almost bowls them over, so his new owmers have a bit of work to do in training him to be more subtle in his approach.
If you are a Labrador Retriever lover, Bean will be no problem. He just needs a confident owner who can correct a few behaviors that need a bit of work. Otherwise, Bean is your dream dog-to-be. Adopt this handsome and adorable Chocolate Lab pup today.

He’s very happy and playful. He can be sweet but he’s like a typical little boy – on-the-go active rambunctious and so on. He’s quick witted and enjoys something new. He’s very observant but doesn’t seem to understand interpersonal relations with people, which is understandable since he’s basically only been with me because he has scared everyone within our radius & they won’t be around him.
But he’s loving & wants interaction but “doesn’t get it”. He’s basically pushy or gung-ho. He is very interested in my cat, not aggressive, but wants to play. My cat allows Bean to get close, nearly touch noses, but he’s 18 years old & isn’t interested.
Why is Bean Being Rehomed?
Bean is a wonderful puppy. He gets very excited when he meets someone new or we get visitors, and can bowl them over (both figuratively and literally!) Because I am a senior, I am not able to manage his sheer strength and level of excitement. I have been pulled down by Bean, and he has knocked down some visitors as well. He needs a strong leader with a firm, but positive manner with him.
Bean is a great puppy – he just needs owners that can handle his size, strength and activity level.
