Los Angeles, CA (West Hollywood) – Cody is a little doll! This 10 week old Toy Poodle mix puppy weighs just 4 pound and is very healthy. He’s got a sweet personality and is very playful. Cody is doing very well with his house training, and has almost mastered the art of peeing and pooping outdoors. Cody has been crate trained, and really enjoys going in his crate when it is nap time. Cody is up to date on his vaccinations and has been lovingly cared for.
Cody’s owner is a Mom in the midst of personal turmoil. She had adopted Cody having never owned a dog or puppy before, and did not realize the extent to which puppies, particularly toy breed ones, require attention and care. As much as she loves him, she has come to realize that at this point in her life, providing Cody with the love, care, training and attention that he needs and deserves is not possible.
She is dearly hoping to find Cody the right home, where he will be cherished. Ideally, Cody should be placed with a dog lover who is home all the time and can allow Cody to be the lap dog that he is meant to be. His new owner will need to be patient with Cody as he continues to learn potty training. They will need to be able to make Cody their focus, understanding that he is a tiny, loving, living creature – and not a fashion accessory.
Cody’s owner would very much love to be kept informed about Cody’s well-being. Her children love this little fellow; adopters who would be willing to allow a very occasional visit by the children would be an absolute blessing to the owner, who is in the midst of a very difficult divorce.
Cody gets along with other dogs, but human companionship is what he craves. He would be the perfect choice for empty nesters who are retired and looking for a 4 pound bundle of fluff to add immeasurable love, joy, laughter and companionship to their lives.

Cody is a very easygoing puppy. He is smart and we have had good progress with potty training. He is not hyper, does not bark like crazy, is good with people. He is happy to sleep in his crate and gets in himself when he wants to sleep. He has up to date on all his shots. I will also provide his crate and all the toys, beds etc that we have bought for him. I just want him to go to a loving home.
Reason For Rehoming
I’m in the middle of a horrific divorce and I thought that getting a puppy was a good idea for me and my children, but I was not prepared for it and I have too much going on to be able to focus on him.
