Looking for a lovely front declawed senior cat for adoption in Philadelphia? If you’re a cat lover with a quiet home and want just one very special “princess” to cherish and care for, Leila is the one for you. She’s a healthy and engaging 15 year old and still loves her people with all her heart. She was taken in a year ago by her current owner when she found out that Leila needed a home.
At the time, her owner did not realize that Leila was as spunky as she is, and would not get along with her other cats. For close to two years, Leila has chased after the other cats in her home. It’s made them very unhappy. It has become very clear that Leila wants a home where she is the center of attention – where she doesn’t have to share her humans with any other cats.

Leila has recently been vaccinated, and she has been spayed and front-declawed (done before she was adopted by her current owner). She will bring all of her belongings with her to her new home, and her owner is going to place a 500.00 credit on account with the vet of choice, to help with any care she may need over the next few years. They are hoping to find a new home for Leila where this special older cat will be cherished and kept safe, happy, and healthy for the remaining years of her life.

Can be sweet and loving. Likes adjacent cuddles (will sit with you but rarely on you). Sleeps with you. Is aggressive towards other cats. Needs to be the alpha.
Why is Leila Being Rehomed?
About a year and a half ago, I had a client who needed a home for her now almost 15 year old cat. Sure we said. She came to us front declawed, so even if she gets wound up she’s mostly harmless. She can be super sweet, once she’s used to you. She’ll follow us around, purring, looking to be pet, mellow until she sees another cat.
If we had known that Leila always wanted to be the “dominating alpha cat”, we would not have brought her in. After 1-1/2 years of her chasing and attacking our three other cats, it’s time that Leila gets a new home where she is the only cat – She will be happier and it’ll be so much better for her and for us.
She’s recently been to the vet and had routine shots. Leila doesn’t mind dogs and they don’t seem to mind her. But absolutely she needs to be the only cat.
Leila comes with usual cat stuff — bowls, tray, kitty litter pan, brushes, box of kitty litter, dry and wet food .. We’ll also contribute $500.00 towards any vet costs. This amount will be placed on account with the vet of choice.
We’re near Clark Park. If you meet her and like her but don’t have a car we’re happy to drive.
