Meet Sitka, Brown Tabby Cat For Adoption in Houston Texas

Sitka is one of those mild mannered cats that can easily leave paw prints on your heart. A handsome brown Tabby cat with gorgeous green eyes, Sitka is 9 years old and very healthy. Sitka is neutered and is up to date on shots. He is well behaved, clean and litter trained. Sitka is front declawed, and is an indoors-only cat. He has a gleaming brown tiger striped coat with accents of gold – so gorgeous.

Sitka’s owner has had him since he was a bright and adorable kitten. Since then, the number of furry family members has grown to include 2 more cats and 2 dogs. Sitka has become increasingly stressed by living as one of five, and there have been some fights between the cats. The dogs seem to make Sitka on edge as well.

Sitka’s owner loves him so much. She realizes that the living situation is making him unhappy, and is hoping to find him just one or two special cat lovers who are looking for just 1 pet to spoil rotten. Sitka would absolutely shine in a situation like that – a quiet home where he can be the center of his owners attention.

If you have room in your heart and home for this sweet brown tabby declawed cat, please offer Sitka the home he needs and deserves to day. He can’t wait to melt your heart with his purrs.

There is a $30 adoption/rehoming fee. Supplies and veterinary records will be included.

Sitka’s Personality

Sitka is a very sweet and handsome boy. People often ask where his name came from. His name came from the movie “The Proposal” with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. In the movie, they fly to Sitka, Alaska and that became the inspiration of his name.

He is a fairly independent boy. He is not a fan of being picked up, but does like to curl up by your side or lap. However, on his terms. He loves to sleep in his cat tree or on the bed and naps there most of the day until feeling time. He does have a unique meow and he is very verbal around feeding time especially if your late.

Some of his favorite things is sitting by the window and watching the outside world. As well as burrowing under a comfy blanket.

Why is Sitka Being Rehomed?

This is a difficult decision but I truly feel he not thriving in our home. He has been with me since he was a couple of months old. He was adopted to my home with me and my other cat Grayson.

A few years later I got two dogs. He did not seem to adapt to the dogs well but tolerated them decently. There was a third cat added to the family.

The cats seemed to get along together. The other two cats are able to be around the dogs better than Sitka.

Over the years I noticed Sitka not doing well. He seems anxious and has been chewing on areas of his paws that lost hair. I noticed that he lost some weight (his doctor mentioned he needed it). but now he seems a little underweight.

I noticed he has been fighting with the other two cats lately. I really hoped this would settle but unfortunately, I can’t help but think that maybe he would be better off with a home with less pets.

He seems stressed and anxious all the time and I do not know what to do but I want to do what is best for him whatever that may be.
