Lizzy is in good health. She is spayed, up to date on shots, clean and very well behaved. She is 5 years old and weighs about 12 pounds. She will be rehomed with all of her supplies and accessories, including a 5 foot cat tree, which she loves.

Lizzy started her life as a stray on the streets of Katy. She showed up on the doorstep of her owner and charmed her way into her heart and home. She was her owner’s pride and joy until, very tragically, her owner took her own life. When her owner’s body was discovered by her daughter, Lizzie was curled up beside her. Such a devoted little creature. Her owner left a note asking her daughter to fsure that Lizzie finds a home.

Lizzie is now being fostered by her owner’s daughter, but with three cats already in the home, it just isn’t a great situation for Lizzie. She is being bullied by the other cats, and spends most of her time hiding away. Her foster owner is determined to follow through with her Mom’s last wishes, and is dearly hoping to find a home for sweet little Lizzie.

Lizzie’s ideal home will be with a retired or senior cat lover in a quiet home. She is good with welcoming cats and cat friendly dogs. She would also be fine with older, respectful children.

She is a calm little cat and so very cute. She would do well in many homes, so long as she is loved unconditionally and given plenty of attention, proper care ad lots of affection.

If you have room in your heart and home for this delightful little Munchkin cat, please offer her a loving, forever home today.

Lizzie’s Personality

You quiet chirping meows. When she stands on her two back feet. The way she wakes me up in the morning rubbing her nose on mine. How she is always happy to see you when you come home. Her cute little short legs.

Lizzie’s Current Home Environment

Very quiet. Multi cat home but Lizzie enjoys keeping to herself and spends most of her time in the bedroom. She is fed on a routine schedule of ~8am and ~5pm , with treats in between.

Lizzie’s Current Family:

Lizzie showed up on the back porch of my mother’s house about 3 years ago. My mom fed her outside for about a week and then eventually let her come inside the house. She plopped right down and acted like she had lived there forever.

She got along easy with my moms two other cats but enjoyed being independent as well. When my mom took her to go get spayed the vet discovered she had already previously been spayed. So we’re not sure what her story is.

Regardless, she lived blissfully with my mom until March 2019. On March 17th 2019 my mother passed away by suicide. When she was found, Lizzie was curled up near my mother’s body. In my mother’s suicide note she made only one request, to please find a home for her cats. Since March my moms two other cats, Lizzie’s brother and sister, have unfortunately had to be euthanized for health conditions.

After being unable to find an immediate home for Lizzie, I took her home with me in hopes that my two cats would welcome her. Unfortunately that has not been the case.

Currently Lizzie lives in my master bedroom and enjoys her room just fine. But having to keep all cats separated and tensions high between animals at all time in obviously not an ideal or permanent solution. Poor Lizzie has had two adopters back out on her thus far.

I just feel so helpless and sorry for her. She didn’t ask for this situation to happen to her and I just want what is best for her. I know that’s what my mom would want too. Me and Lizzie miss her very much. I’m just trying to fulfill my moms request and find her a loving home.

Lizzie’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

She enjoys friskies pate (no fish flavors), any dry food and she loves treats. She enjoys playing with strings and ribbons and small toy mice. She loves sleeping on and under the bed and gazing out the window.

Lizzie’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I think a quiet home or apartment would be best for Lizzie. She would do well as an only cat or with other cats that are welcoming. She’s only met one dog before and she was okay with her, but that’s the only experience she’s had. I think an older individual or couple would be perfect for Lizzie. Someone to provide her with a steady household, routine and love.

Additional Comments:

Lizzie deserves a new beginning. She’s experienced the unimaginable, her owner dying. I’m trying to do best by Lizzie and find the perfect home for her. She deserves it. I promise she will love you every day, sleep at the foot of the bed, and always greet you with charming meows when you come home. All she asks for her return is open arms into your family.
