These very handsome doggie best friends have been together for a number of years and complete each other. They love to hang around together, and need to be adopted as a set.

Louis, the black and white dog, is 5 years old. He is a healthy, happy dog that, like most Labs, is a real foodie. He has a bit of extra weight on at the moment, but loves to be active and will get in shape quickly if offered daily walks and other activities.
Brutus, aged 7, is an active, protective and sweet dog. He is obsessed with balls and would play fetch all day given the opportunity. He loves his squeaky toys and really enjoys getting out in nature and being active.
Both dogs love people, and are affectionate and fun to live with.
Brutus and Louis need daily exercise and attention to keep them happy and healthy. Since having their first child and taking on more responsibility at work, their owners have not been able to give the dogs what they need. They are dearly hoping to find Brutus and Louis a loving home where they will be cherished and kept safe, happy and healthy.
Their ideal home with be with dog lovers who have a home with a large, securely fenced yard. They are best suited to adults-only homes or homes without small children. They are also not suited to homes with cats.

Health Problems: Yes He is slightly overweight, but we have been working on it. He eats high metabolic dog food; 1 1/4 cup 2x per day. He needs to exercise regularly. The problem comes from him being a food motivated dog and his loss of regular exercise since the arrival of our now 2 1/2 year old.
Behavior Issues: Yes He will bark at other dogs but that’s it. He likes to lick faces and jump up on people. He does not like to be left alone – makes him very anxious so we have almost never left him alone. He spends his days with his bff Brutus while we are at work.

Why is Louis Being Rehomed?
Prior to our child and more hectic work schedules we used to exercise our dogs regularly, take them on weekend outings, and give them lots of attention, but we are unable to do so anymore.
Louis’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Outdoorsy. Active. Needs to be somewhat fit because Louis is an active strong dog. Preferably no young kids because his forceful jumping up and face licking is not ideal for them. Needs to be able to give him exercise because he can easily gain weight. Must have someone or dog stay at home with him because he can’t handle being alone.
Additional Comments:
I hope to stay in touch with the new owner for at least 6 months so I can see Louis has become comfortable with his new family. I would like Louis to rehomed to the same family as his bff Brutus, unless it becomes truly impossible. He must not be alone though.
