Angel is good adults and calm, older children. She is a lovely cat both inside and out, and this has made it very difficult for her owner to face parting with her.

Angel has a very nice personality. She loves attention, brushing and being the center of her owner’s world. As things have changed in her owner’s life, life has become more difficult for Angel. Adding two small children to the family has made Angel anxious and very unhappy. She doesn’t know where her territory ends and the children’s begins, and has exhibited signs that she is depressed and filled with anxiety.
Her owners have made the difficult decision to rehome Angel into the home she deserves. They are dearly hoping to find a senior or retired cat lover who will cherish this beautiful girl and keep her safe, happy and healthy. Angel can be shy and skittish when you first meet her, but given time to adjust, she transforms into the most loving and companionable cat – a really wonderful friend. Angel would be perfect for someone who wants just one special pet to spoil rotten, has no children in the home, and who will commit to ensuring that Angel is adjusting to her new home.

Angel’s Personality
Angel is a very sweet and super gentle senior cat. She loves to be pet and brushed but not picked up much. She will take a little bit to warm up to people but then is super friendly.
Angel needs to be in a home preferably with no young kids or dogs. Other cats may be fine depending on their temperament (she current lives with 2 other cats, although she avoids them because they prefer to play-wrestle and she hates that). Older children would be fine as well. She loves and seems to know cat people instinctively and is very affectionate with them. She has never intentionally scratched or hurt anyone, even when brushed, nails clipped, given medicine, or bathed. She is strictly indoors only (she’s been front-declawed) and needs regular grooming to prevent mats.
Why is Angel Being Rehomed?
Angel has become very skittish and anxious since my children were born. I have the world’s most obnoxious 4-year-old and a very loud 12-month old in our fairly small townhouse, so she has taken to hiding in the master bedroom closet all day until the kids are asleep. We’re dealing with behavioral issues as a result (peeing on beds, litter mats, and door mats consistently).
Medical issues have been ruled out, we’ve added another litter box and tried different litters, and she’s on kitty Prozac but it doesn’t seem to be enough. She’s just clearly unhappy and making us all miserable as a result. We don’t have the time, energy, or resources to give her the loving attention she needs and deserves, or the peaceful environment she prefers.
