Tommy Maine Coon Cat Adoption Calgary

Looking for the ultimate lap cat? You must meet Tommy! This gorgeous 14 year old Maine Coon cat for adoption near Calgary in Airdrie is looking for a quiet, adults-only home. Tommy is healthy and very affectionate. He is a big boy who loves to snuggle on your lap, and follow you around the house.

Tommy is a thoughtful cat, having played nurse to his best friend, a cat who passed away to Cancer. Tommy gave her so much love and support during her illness. It was amazing to see.

Tommy’s home has recently changed dramatically with the arrival of a baby. Many cats become very stressed when a baby or toddler joins the family, and Tommy is no exception. He has always been very fastidious about his bathroom routine, but since the baby came, he has had accidents outside the litter box. This is common among many cats, and in a new home where he is not stressed, he will go back to his proper litter box habits.

If you have been searching for a very handsome cat with a fantastic personality to snuggle up with, Tommy is waiting to meet you and charm his way into your heart and home. Adopt Tommy today.

All About Tommy

Tommy’s Personality

Tom is a loving gentle cat who loves being pet and lying on your lap.

Cuddly
Not too fussy about his litter box

How cute he is

Tommy’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Roaming the fenced backyard and exploring.
He hasn’t played with toys as often now in his older years.
His stomach is sensitive so treats usually lead to throw up. He is on a diet of Hills Urinary Care c/d.

Cute Tommy Story:

We had to put down our other cat last year and towards the end when she was declining, Tom was always next to her to comfort her. He groomed her and followed her around to make sure she was ok and always laid next to her.

One night I was woken in the night by a scraping noise. Tom had taken off one of the little covers over the toilet attach bolt and was playing with it on the tile floor. Anytime I return the cover it was off in a few hours.

Why is Tommy Being Rehomed?

Since we have had a newborn, Tom has started to pee outside the litter box. The vet says he is stressed causing pain while peeing. We have given him CBD oil which worked for a bit but not well enough and he started again.

Tommy’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Tom would enjoy a fairly quiet home with someone who can give him attention and love. One or two people. No kids. He enjoys the company of another cat as long as he stays on his diet. He likes dogs but only if they aren’t aggressive.
