He is a very sweet older dog, who loves cuddling and meeting people. He always wants to be around you and listens very well and doesn’t bark for the most part unless it’s to protect you. He was originally a Forestry dog, meaning he’s used to being taken through dense bush and into the wilderness, so he knows quads and outdoor vehicles, can ride in cars for a long time without a problem, and will even sit on the quad with you.
He’s smart, cuddly, and even though he doesn’t like anyone near his food when he’s eating, he loves people and always wants to meet them.
I’m really looking for someone who can take of Muskeg properly. He was given to me originally by an owner who was moving, but unfortunately they can no longer take him as well. I’m hoping he can be passed on to a family or person who will love him a ton so he can spend his older years laying on the couch with them (or floor) and being loved like he deserves. He’s such a good dog and I care about him so much, but I can’t afford to give him what he needs anymore.
Why is Muskeg Being Rehomed?
I can no longer afford him and his treatments. He’s needs caring attention that my family can no longer provide in these times.
Muskeg’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
A very loving home where he can receive the vet care, affection exercise and cuddles he needs and deserves. Should have a large, fenced in yard. Rural would be ideal, but he would be fine in the city with a yard. No apartments or townhouses, please. Too many stairs will be difficult for him.
