Tux is a Male Pit Bull dog for adoption to a very loving home in or near Calgary, Alberta. This very special dog is 3 years old and weighs 90 pounds of pure doggy devotion. Tux has been fixed, fully vaccinated, and crate trained. This handsome dog is great with people of all ages, but prefers to be the only pet in the home. Tux is what we call a “ready to love dog” and has an amazing personality that make him a wonderful companion. In short, Tux is terrific!

Tux’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished dog, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do. Tux was originally adopted from a friend, and although he is very loved, he unfortunately doesn’t have the space to run and play he is used to.

Tux’s only behavior issue has been with a dog he previously lived with.. Tux got extremely jealous and would fight with the other dog. I haven’t had issues taking him out and him seeing other dogs was good, he would play with no issues.

Tux’s Personality
Tux is super sweet and living, he loves to cuddle and be around people. Tux is very well mannered and knows simple commands like sit down, lay down, roll over, shakes both paws. Tux loves car rides. Tux walks very well with me with his nose harness. Tux needs a home with a yard and I don’t have that for him.. Tux was living on an acerage and had lots of space to run and be a dog. Currently he is living with me and I have 3 cats that are staying at my grandmas house and I live in a townhouse without a yard and it isn’t fair to him or my cats. I would love to have him forever as he means a lot to me but he needs someone who is experienced with the breed and has lots of room for him in their homes and hearts.
Tux’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Tux loves squeaker toys his favorite toy is a plush pizza. Tux loves car rides, Tux loves walks and running around the house with his toys. Tux is the happiest to just be with someone.
Cute Tux Story:
Whenever I leave Tux at home he will grab my jacket, his leash and collar, any laundry or anything that smells like me and he will pile it on the couch. If I go into a different room he always grabs my wallet and lays on top of it so I can’t leave without him. After I taught Tuxy to shake a paw whenever I eat something he really wants he will put his paw on my leg as if to say, “Look I’m doing my trick, can I have some now?!”
Why is Tux Being Rehomed?
Tux was my best friends dog and Tux and the other dog don’t mesh well together so I took him to find him a good home.
Tux’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
I would like Tux to be the only pet in the home with a loving family who is able to spend lots of time with him. A family with a yard and will welcome him as part of the family and will allow me to still see him sometimes and keep me updated how he is doing.
