Jackson has a heart of pure gold. He loves all humans very deeply, and can be counted on to cheer you up when you are having a bad day – or to share in your joy when good things happen.
Jackson has been such a blessing for his owner, Shane who recently had his Dad pass away, followed by economic hardships that followed his passing. Shane and his Stepmom have had to make sacrifices, including looking for more affordable housing. Unfortunately, this means not being able to keep Jackson in their new residences.
Jackson’s owners are dearly hoping to find him a loving, forever home with dog lovers who will cherish him and keep him safe, happy and healthy for the rest of his life. Jackson has so much to offer his new family in terms of love and devotion. The perfect new home for Jackson will be with a family, couple or single who have lots of time for him, and who live in a house with a large, securely fenced yard.
Shane would love to keep in touch with Jackson, but only if that is OK with his new owners. Jackson is best suited to a home where he is the only dog. (Cats may be OK, but he has never experienced living with a cat). Like many Bulldog breeds, Jackson has some allergies that tend to bother him the most during dry weather. He has an ongoing prescription medication that he takes daily and which keeps him feeling good and allergy-free.

Behavior Issues: Yes He is aggressive to other dogs, it seems to stem from not being properly socialized as a puppy. He also dislikes going to the vet quite a bit, to remedy this the vet has prescribed him sedatives to help with the anxiety.
He can also be fairly excitable occasionally that makes him jump up on peoples legs and beg for attention.

Jackson’s Personality
1. His loving nature, he wants to be happy and cheer up those around him.
2. When ever I’m feeling down or sad, Jackson is always there trying to cheer me up or to get my mind off of things.
3. The fact he’s always there with me, even when I go to shower he waits outside the door until I come out. The only thing he seems to want is to be close with me.
4. The fact he’s so friendly to people, no matter how long he’s known them he always acts like they’re family.
5. He’s my best friend,in all the trials and tribulations that I’ve been through these year that I’ve had him, I could always count on that
Jackson’s Current Home Environment
Our home is a small home, just my step-mother, me and Jackson along with my father who recently passed. For most of our time together Jackson and It’s just been Jackson and I, only moving in with my parents a year ago. We live in a small town so there’s a bit of room where I’ve been able to play with him in the yard and talk him on leisurely walks around the neighborhood.
Jackson’s Current Family:
For most of our time together it’s been just Jackson and I, we moved in with my parents about a year ago. But most of the time Jackson and I are together, when we’re not playing or going out on walks he usually sits by my side and either sleeps or watches the world go by outside of the windows.
Jackson’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Jackson loves playing with his rope toys and having a good round of tug of war. He also loves to chew on both rawhide and legs bones, those possibly being his favorite nest to knotted rope toys.
I’ve been feeding him Purina One True Instinct for most of the time I’ve had him which he seems to really enjoy, along with the occasionally snacks of people food (chicken,beef, fish, and eggs)
Cute Jackson Story:
About a week after I had adopted Jackson, I went through a very tough breakup, my fiance and I had split up. That night I sat in my chair, filled with deep sorrow with tears flowing through my eyes. I had placed the chair next to my bed so that I could get a better view of the TV, and Jackson had hoped up onto the bed and moved over to where he could rest his head on my lap, and for the entire night he laid there with his head on my lap and his paw on my leg, letting me know things were going to be alright.
Why is Jackson Being Rehomed?
I’m looking for a new home for Jackson because my father recently he passed, and since his passing my step-mother and I are unable to afford living in our home anymore. As such I’m moving in with a friend but he already has a dog so I can’t bring Jackson with me. It has nothing to do with him, he’s been a great and faithful companion since I adopted him and it breaks my heart to have to do this.
Jackson’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
I’m looking for a loving and caring family that will be able to care for Jackson, preferably a small one or even a single owner home. He does pull when he walks, and does like to go after squirrels, rabbits and the such so I’d like someone who would be able to handle him while walking him. He loves people, but does not get along with other dogs so he would have to be the only dog in the home.
Additional Comments:
It breaks my heart to have to re-home Jackson, he’s been a stalwart at my side for all of these years. I’m looking for someone to give him the loving home that he deserves so that he can live a long and happy life.
