With her soft, fluffy, caramel colored coat, deep brown eyes, and button nose, Rosie is very likely the cutest little dog in Indiana. And she’s most definitely the sweetest!
Raised with love since puppyhood by her teenage owner, Rosie’s life has changed somewhat dramatically in the last several months. With the responsibilities that come with being a young adult, Rosie’s owner has found it very difficult to find time to spend with her. She has been working long hours and Rosie has been home all by herself all day.
That’s no life for a little dog that lives just to be near you, and Rosie’s owner has had to make the difficult decision to find her the home that she deserves.
On Rosie’s new home wish list are a retired or senior dog lover that has all day, every day to spend with her, a safe, happy and healthy home with some soft blankets, a few nice squeaky toys, delicious food and treats, plenty of cuddles, tummy rubs and chin scratches.
Rosie’s breed, the Powder puff Chinese Crested Dog, is a very fancy one that requires regular visits to the dog groomer. Her new owners will need to be able to afford her beauty parlor visits, as well as regular vet care. Rosie is a healthy and happy little dog and would like to stay that way. She is only 4 years old and has been fixed, fully vaccinated, and puppy pad trained.
Rosie is so tiny. She weighs only 6 pounds. She’s perfectly suited for living in an apartment or in a home with a little yard. If outdoors, she must be kept warm and safe from predators like birds of prey, Coyotes, Foxes and venomous snakes. And let’s not forget Wasps and Hornets.
Rosie is very precious, and needs an owner who will keep her safe at all times. The same rules apply to small children. She must never be left unsupervised with kids under 8 years old.
Rosie has a few quirks that make her extra cute. She likes to collect socks and keep them near her. She can be a little shy at first, but will adore you in no time.

Rosie’s Personality
Rosie has a very loving personality towards her humans! She does tend to be jealous of other dogs within the household though. She enjoys stealing our worn socks and keeping close to her. Rosie had been potty pad trained since she had been kept mostly indoors but is doing fairly well at doing her duties outside since moving in with us and rewarding with treats … but still seems to prefer the potty pads.
Why is Rosie Being Rehomed?
Rosie is our adult daughter’s dog who is no longer able to provide her a home so we have been fostering her the past year. She was 8 weeks old when my daughter brought her home from a breeder in Ohio.
Rosie had one season in 4-H obedience when she was 2 years old and placed 4th out of 10. She has never bitten anyone but is slow to warm up to strangers either humans or other animals. Rosie would do great being in a home where she could play outside in a fenced yard. She is very teachable!
