This very handsome medium sized dog has been fully vaccinated, crate-trained, leash-trained and obedience-trained. Oreo is best suited for a home without small children or cats. He would get along OK with non-alpha dogs with a high level of energy.
Oreo’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished dog. When they adopted him as a puppy, they were really not expecting that he would have such a high need for activity and mental stimulation. Living in an apartment and working full time, the owners have realized that they are not able to provide Oreo with the environment he needs to stay happy and healthy.

They are hoping to find a new home for Oreo where this special dog will be cherished and kept safe, happy, and healthy for life. He needs, at the very least, a home with a large, securely fenced yard, owners with the schedule and activity level to provide for his need to be active, and who will love him unconditionally for the rest of his life.

We feed him twice a day. We give him Purina One in the morning. For dinner we give him rice with chicken, beef shank, beef bones, chicken heart, chicken liver or giblets alternatively.

Oreo’s Personality
Oreo is highly energetic. He loves playing fetch and rope pulling. He loves squeaky toys. He is very loving, obedient and loyal. He never leaves my corner.
Why is Oreo Being Rehomed?
Me and my boyfriend bought Oreo from a local breeder in Murillo, Thunder Bay, on August, 2020. He is highly energetic and we are not able to provide him with the care and exercise he requires.
We are international students from India. We consider him our baby. However, we are moving into a bachelor unit on March 1 since we are not able to afford a bigger place until we finish our studies and get a permanent job.
We think it will be best for Oreo to be in a bigger place with more freedom for him to move around. He is not good with strangers because, since covid, it has been hard for us to socialize him with other people and dogs.
He is good with cats though because he has been living with our cat since they were both babies. We don’t want him to go to a shelter and wait till he gets picked. Giving him up is the toughest decision I ever had to make, but I have no other option. I hope you will be able to help us.
