A feline force of nature! Sophie is a plump and pretty brown tabby cat with gorgeous green eyes and smart tabby markings. She is in good health. spayed, up to date on shots and ready to love. Sophie is good with other cats, but she is not a fan of children or dogs. Sophie is a little on the heavy side, but her current situation makes it difficult for her owners to exercise portion control, and her fear of kids keeps her from moving around as much as she would normally do.

Sophie is a nice little cat, but her current home environment has made her nervous and unhappy. Like most cats, Sophie is fearful of small children. She was a friendly, happy and engaging feline before the two 4 year olds in her home arrived. Over the past 4 years, she has become more and more anxious – in line with the children’s level of mobility and noise. It is clear that she is not happy, and will be better in a quiet, adults-only home where she can be the apple of her owners eye. In the right home, Sophie should start to feel more secure and return to her happy purring days. Her markings give her the most adorable little nose and her greenish eyes sparkle.
Sophie’s owners love her very much and want her to be happy. They are dearly hoping to find a loving, forever home for Sophie with a cat lover who will give her the time and space she needs to get used to her new home environment. It is going to take her some time to realize that she is in a kid-free home, and come out of her shell. With love and patience, Sophie will become her old self.
Sophie has a unique personality. She likes to be near her humans, but is not a fan of being picked up. In a stress free environment, Sophie is a cuddly purring machine and enjoys her lap time. Sophie is a wonderful animal and we want to find her a loving home that is a better fit. She does not mix well with our active toddlers and does not seem happy.
Why is Sophie Being Rehomed?
We would like to rehome Sophie because we are worried about our kids and think she would be much happier in a smaller child-free household. She is very loving to adults she likes and has lots of love to give; we are just not a good fit and has not been a good fit since we brought our twin daughters home 4 years ago.
