Momi’s Personality

I adopted Momi and Nani as kittens back in 2018. Their original names were Laverne (tabby) and Shirley (black), but I renamed them to reflect their grace and beauty with Hawaiian-inspired names. They’ve lived as island cats and thrived in colder climates, making them adaptable and resilient. They are now 6 years old, and while it breaks my heart to rehome them, it’s for their health, safety, and wellbeing. They are currently staying with my roommate while I search for the perfect home for them.

Momi’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

They are both an indoor/outdoor cats. They love to climb, run, and lay around any sunny spot. They’re not really big on toys but occasionally can engage in play with them. They have typically had a diet of Blue Buffalo Wilderness wet cat food (pate or chunky). For treats, they really like Greenies Smart Bites (pillow filled). They do NOT like the Greenies Dental treats.

Momi and Nani are affectionate, well-behaved, and loyal companions who will fill your home with warmth and joy. They’ll greet you with purrs and cuddles, and their bond with each other is nothing short of magical.

Momi is the protector, the outgoing one. Always protecting Nani. Momi is affectionate and will be the first one to wake you up for food. She is bold, curious, and kind. Nani is gentle, cautious, and beautiful.

Why are Momi and Nani Being Rehomed?

I recently relocated from Florida to Hawaii, and after much consideration, I’ve decided to rehome my two beloved cats due to the challenges of bringing them here. They are nervous travelers, and I fear the long flight and distance would negatively affect their health and wellbeing. Hawaii’s strict entry requirements, including mandatory quarantine, and the island’s feral cat population, which faces frequent dangers, make it difficult for them to thrive here. For these reasons, I’m seeking a loving home for both cats, ideally together, where they can live happily and safely.
