Most dogs love their people but Tonks really loves my oldest child. My oldest can get away with anything even if we tell her not to. She once was running too fast and fell on Tonks while Tonks was eating a bone. Tonks didn’t fret at all, just gave her a kiss and moved to another location with her bone. Could have been a sticky situation but she would never intentionally harm us or my kids.
Why is Tonks Being Rehomed?
Her exuberant nature sometimes leads to small children being knocked over during moments of excitement. As a precaution, we’ve had to be mindful of her interactions with the children. This isn’t fair to her or to our little kids, and we feel she would be happier in a family with older children, say aged 8 and up.
Tonks’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
An family that will love up on her and enjoy her spunk. Kids would be great, but they need to be older. Having another bigger dog as a friend would be excellent too.
I just want her to have the home she deserves. Not having to mind the littles and basically living in a crate when she’s too excitable isn’t fair to her. A family who can give her the activity she needs would be perfect – they will see a big decrease in her excitability.
