Draco’s owners are very sad to have to rehome their cherished cat, but circumstances beyond their control have made rehoming a must-do. Poor Draco, like most cats, is completely overwhelmed and anxiety driven now that small children have overrun his once-chill environment. Draco is more into Zen moments on his Mama’s lap that being chased by noisy little ones and having to share Mama with her new baby.

Draco loves twist ties. He plays with them all the time. I roll them into springs and he can entertain himself for a long time. He loves yarn balls as well. He will chase string and ribbon.
But his favorite thing is stickers. He loves tape and labels off boxes. He likes to bite it and then lick it. (He will try to eat it if it’s too small of a piece). And of course he loves boxes, he is a cat.
He loves to watch birds and squirrels out windows. He could sit for hours watching them.
Cute Draco Story:
After I suffered a miscarriage, Draco curled up on my belly and purred while I was having some cramps. He didnt leave my side all day. It was very sweet.
Why is Draco Being Rehomed?
I adopted Draco when I was single, but a subsequent marriage and two children later Draco has not adopted well. He is hiding all the time and is clearly anxious with the new baby. Draco hides and runs away from my son. Draco wont sit on my lap anymore in the evenings, doesn’t come downstairs to play. We keep baby gates up just so my son can’t chase the cat. Draco deserves someone who can spend time with him. He needs to be in a home where he will get more attention and that wont change here for a few more years with two very young children.
Draco’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Draco needs a calmer family without young children who will chase him. Draco also doesnt like loud people. Men with loud booming voices or screaming toddlers scare him. He needs a family that can give him more attention.
Were are a military family. He has moved across country 3 times in 4 different homes. He doesnt like traveling but after a few days settles into the new house nicely.
Draco is completely declawed and strictly an indoor cat.
