Lucy’s Personality

Lucy is a happy, healthy, and active dog who brightens anyone’s day with her presence. She has an incredibly understanding nature, often intuitively sensing our moods and reacting with warmth and affection. Lucy warmly welcomes everyone with love and enthusiasm, showing her deep appreciation for human companionship. She’s affectionate and playful, always eager to engage in activities and spend time with her family. Additionally, Lucy demonstrates loyalty and protectiveness, making her a cherished member of our family. She’s also potty trained and patiently holds her pee and poop, only relieving herself when allowed to in the backyard. These qualities make Lucy a beloved companion whom we adore.

A few little quirks we are working on:

She barks when encountering strangers or when the doorbell rings. Additionally, she may jump on visitors initially, but after getting accustomed to their scent, she settles down and behaves well.

While she enjoys walks, she occasionally pulls on the leash.

Lucy also experiences some anxiety in the car, often barking and displaying signs of distress.

However, with patience and training, she’s improving in managing these behaviors. Furthermore, Lucy sometimes doesn’t cooperate with her grooming at home, requiring patience and gentle handling.

Lucy’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Lucy adores toys that make funny sounds, although she tends to play with them enthusiastically and eventually turns them into a delightful mess. Among her favorite treats are raw beef bones and chewies from pet stores.

As for food, Lucy enjoys a variety of options, including her regular Acana meals, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables like apples, carrots, and tomatoes. However, she truly drools over chicken, bread, and any cheesy delights such as pizza and pasta.
Lucy’s favorite activities include walking, playing catch with a ball, and running

Cute Lucy Story:

One particularly memorable moment with Lucy was when she was just a pup. We were all gathered in the living room, and Lucy decided it was the perfect time to showcase her newly learned trick: rolling over.

However, in her excitement, she forgot the ‘roll’ part and simply flopped onto her back, legs flailing in the air. Instead of laughter, there was a collective ‘aww’ as we watched her adorable attempt.

It was a reminder of how much joy and laughter Lucy brought into our lives, even in the simplest of moments. Though circumstances led us to the difficult decision of re-homing her, we’ll always cherish the memories and the love we shared with our dear Lucy.

Why is Lucy Being Rehomed?

We are relocating from this country to our homeland.

Lucy’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

We hope to find a family who understands Lucy’s needs and is willing to invest the time and effort into her well-being.

Additionally, a secure and safe environment, along with a commitment to her health and happiness, is paramount. We believe that finding a family who will appreciate Lucy’s unique personality and bring her joy and fulfillment is key.
